Visited here recently with friends and honestly, it was one of the worst experiences we’ve had in a long time. The food was below average bland, poorly presented, and definitely not worth the money. What made it even worse was the attitude of the staff, who were completely unapproachable and made us feel like we were an inconvenience just for being there. The so-called manager was particularly rude and dismissive, showing zero professionalism or basic courtesy. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority here. We left disappointed, frustrated, and certain that we won’t be returning.
TLDR; Consistently great food over the last decade! Visited for fathers day; it was much busier than we anticipated. We had booked a table and were seated right away. Our drinks arrived promptly, along with our food soon after. The food was excellent across the board (as it usually is). The enchiladas are big hit for me! Thanks for staying awesome!
Called for a meal before seeing a show at Cast. Seated straight away and drinks served while we viewed menu. Meal was delicious and arrived pretty quickly. Staff was lovely, polite and attentive. We ordered a pulled pork salad bowl, Mexican chicken salad bowl, big chief, beer battered onion rings, cheese garlic bread and potato skins.
Title: Disappointing Dining Experience Rating: ⭐⭐ I recently visited Cactus Jack in Doncaster, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The overall service was disappointingly slow, making it difficult to get the attention of the staff throughout the meal. The food took quite a while to arrive from the kitchen, and when it did, it was far from satisfactory. I ordered the chili burger, but it appeared to be overcooked and burnt, which was a letdown. My partner opted for the ribs, only to find them dry and unappetizing. Regrettably, it wasn't just our meals that were subpar; the rest of our group had similar complaints about their food. To make matters worse, the difficulties continued even when we wanted to settle the bill and leave. It was a challenge to get the staff's attention at the end of our meal. Overall, my recent visit to Cactus Jack was far from enjoyable. Considering my past experiences were nothing special either, I am inclined to say that I won't be returning anytime soon.
Lovely atmosphere and service. Although the salad I ordered was quite big it wasn't what I expected. I had the bbq pulled pork salad, can't say it was amazing.
Good size portions! Ribs are good and the chicken wings on the ribs and wings combo are next level beaut!! Service a bit slow but not too bad. Won't stop me going again!
Very lovely tasty food (really big portions too) and a good atmosphere inside. The staff nice and polite but not attentive much, you literally need to get up and go to the counter if you want to order something else as they will just keep on going past without looking or standing near the bar, so that should be improved. Other than that a very nice place for a meal, definitely recommend.
The customer service here is amazing. They are very polite and welcoming. Atmosphere is lovely inside too, however some foods weren’t available such as the T-Bone Steak and the share garlic bread side. My food wasn’t the best however my partner thoroughly enjoyed his meal. They do offer dessert but not much of a selection. Will definitely be returning to see what else they have to offer.
(note the picture of main course is missing a few prawns as they were eaten before i took a pic!) starters we had chicken. this is the reason for 4 not 5 stars, they were nice but at same time could tell they were just mediocre frozen ones the mains came with jack Daniels sauce and was very nice, a little pricey for 10 once compared to others local, but it was very nice too so still worth the money. the pints of coke came in frozen glasses which made a nice change. would go again staff very nice and polite
