   We booked a table for my son’s birthday. We were all so disappointed, I’ve had to write a review. My daughter asked for a plain cheese burger, it arrived with salad and melted cheese no burger. They kindly made her a fresh burger with just cheese. Which she received by the time everybody had eaten. We ordered tapas, pork belly was terrible, thinly sliced pork fat with sauce squirted on the top. Meatballs were awful, the tomatoe sauce was just that with a horrible after taste. Onion rings were frozen and rock hard. Ribs were pre packed from the frozen section also. Rice and beans were microwaved and dry. Food was bland. Chips were great. Food wasn’t worthy of a picture. So disappointed. We didn’t even get the birthday cake out.

   Food is delicious, we had the mixed fajitas and they were stunning. Only gripe would be for 2 people you get enough fillings to have 6 small wraps each yet they only give you 3 and then charge you for more! Bit cheeky. Service was good, just a shame it was so quiet for a Saturday night as it affected the atmosphere.

   After hearing mixed reviews, we decided to finally put Tequilas to the test and visited on New Year’s Eve as a table of 8. We were pleasantly surprised by the interior of the restaurant; the place was full and there was a lively, warm atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was fairly average and was more like something you might throw together when at home. It was lacking in flavour and could’ve done with a bit more spice. The presentation of the meals also left a lot to be desired which no doubt kick started the underwhelming tone for the food. However, the staff cannot be faulted; they were very polite, friendly and helpful and made the evening enjoyable. All in all, glad to have given it a go, but there are much better restaurants around the Bailgate area.

   We had walked past Tequilas a few times but never when it was open, so when we decided to go out for dinner tonight we thought we'd give it a go, and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food surpassed our expectations. We tried some of the Mexican Tapas as starters and I could happily have eaten a full bowl of the chickpea and chorizo salad, for my partner it was the Mexican goulash that stood out. The mains were delicious and very filling, and I could hear my fajitas sizzling from across the restaurant as they brought them out. We will definitely be going back.

   Did a goggle search for a Mexican restaurants and this one came up trumps. The restaurant is clean and looks good and the service was excellent. Nice selection of food so went for the enchiladas which looked good and tasted amazing. The only problem was it wasn't very hot/spicy.... ! I eat in a lot of Mexicans and they're generally quite spicy but not here. So if you like it mild and I mean mild then this is your place but if like myself you like it hot then I advise somewhere else.

   Really delicious and great portion sizes. Refried beans looked odd but really tasty! Rice was very flavourful too. Didn’t have to wait long and the staff were very nice. Highly recommend!

   We have visited this restaurant twice now and both visits were great, good service and food. What was probably the biggest problem is choosing what to have, there are so many options to temp you from the tapas to the many main courses.
