Thank you, Orient, for a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable β the staff even allowed us to decorate and arrange our tables an hour before our actual booking, which we truly appreciated. The food was delicious and very well priced. Weβll definitely be returning!

Been going to this restaurant since I was a child and it has always been incredible. The food never disappoints. The dim sum is consistently fresh and hot. The staff have always been friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend for lunch and dinner.

Tried this Chinese spot in Chinatown and it was incredibly authentic. I ordered the king prawn spicy fried rice and the chicken kimchi dumplings β both were so tasty and full of flavor. Everything felt fresh, well-seasoned, and really satisfying. Definitely recommend this place if youβre in the area and craving good Chinese food.

We were in London recently and we wanted to try somewhere different to the other places we had eaten at previously, and we were so glad we discovered Orient. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady who gave my girlfriend advice (as she doesn't like too spicy food) on some recommendations, and I was delighted to see that they done an extensive curry range (as some of the places we had visited in Chinatown previously did not have any curry's on the menu). The decor was very nice and the place was very clean. ALL the staff we dealt with were so friendly and they could not have been anymore helpful, and we were given ample time to browse the menu at their extensive menu range. The service was very quick. On our first visit I got prawn crackers and sesame prawn toast for a starter. And the main I chose a beef curry with Thai fragrance steamed rice. The beef was absolutely beautiful, it was thinly cut and was SO tender and perfectly cooked. The rice was perfectly cooked. My girlfriend got Spring Rolls for a starter, and for her main she got sweet & sour spare ribs, and she said it was absolutely beautiful. On our second visit I got a lamb curry with the Thai fragranced steamed rice and my girlfriend got Pork belly with preserved vegetables and noodles and beansprouts, and again it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Another thing I will add is we both got the Lychee juice, and it was lovely, and it went very nicely with our food, and we had not seen this type of juice at other places. And again on our second visit the staff were exceptionally friendly and the service again, very quick. We both were of the same opinion that the Orient will be our go to place for a Chinese meal when we are in London, and we both cannot wait to go back again and sample their delicious food again.

After giving the below review, I've discovered that this restaurant has a hygiene rating of 1 star and in need of major improvements. They do not display this anywhere in their window (I guess for a reason). So just FYI especially since COVID, as a lot of people are weary of eating out. So we visited on a Saturday and it was our first time coming here. Saw the good reviews so thought we'd check it out. Cleanliness and atmosphere in front of house was good, it's very different to your typical traditional Chinese restaurant. I would say it's more modern and with a more western feel, and everything down to the cutlery and food is very well presented. The food itself were reasonable prices but compared to your traditional Chinese restaurant you're probably getting less for your money's worth. When to comes to the taste I would say it's very average. To be honest I didn't like many of the dishes (which are dishes we always order at other restaurants). The Char Siu pork pastry arrived piping hot and the pastry was chewy and not flaky, it had obviously been put in the microwave and for too long. The Thai style chicken feet was very sour, and you get approximately 5 pieces in a dish. My favourite dish which is the Chinese doughnut in cheung fun was soft and soggy even before putting the soy sauce on, you also only get 1 row, compared to your usual 3 in standard restaurants. The Vietnamese spring roll which looked crispy were not, instead they were chewy and for some reason they seem to over season this with A LOT of black pepper to the point where that was all we could taste. The only decent dish was really the fried calamari. All in all I personally would never come back here for dim sum, there are much better choices in China town for this. Not sure what their dinner service is like as we've not tried so can't comment on that, but dim sum is definitely a no from me. Might I add that we both were also not feeling well after eating here. In a nutshell, looks good, taste bad.

Found this Restaurant through Google search sore head 4.1 Star rating in reviews . So book for my wifeβs birthday arrived at the restaurant and was directed to the seating found that the seats were low. Place my order for wonton soup was later told there was none didnβt think it takes a lot to make soup. However ordered egg fried rice and after seeing the small bowl portion decided to change. Ordered a platter of roast pork with crispy roast pork upon arriving The crispy roast pork looked like it was boiled the ends were not crispy and salted the roast pork seem very dry and not red marinated did take a picture and we did not enjoy half was left we brought it back in a food container for local foxes. We did not enjoy or experience.

Great food amazing staff and the ambiance is really nice. We had a mix of rice, noodles, duck and dumplings. It was very good. The portions are quite big, but the dumplings are served by a portion of three which was a bit disappointing as we were four.

Excellent dum sum. Quick to be seated, though does fill up rapidly from 12.00 onwards. Staff are very friendly and attentive, dim sum menu is standard with some nice specials. Restaurant is really clean and tidy with great decor. Note that my photos are as we are eating hence some missing dumplings! As soon as the plates started arriving at the table we started eating!

Lovely traditional Chinese food with quiet, polite waiters. We had the Set Menu 3 course meal and struggled to finish between the two of us - plenty of food. The duck was carved at the table which was a nice touch.
