   Midweek visit for two , early evening. Not busy. Starters: Garlic mushroom and chicken wing starters. Mains: Two Chicken skewers with chips. This is the 3rd time we have visited the Babylon. Fantastic service, excellent meals served hot. Highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars

   We found this place by chance to escape from the pouring rain, but we felt so lucky once we ordered! The food was so delicious, the atmosphere was very authentic, the staff were extremely friendly. We ordered Turkish meatballs and pizza- all turned out really amazing. We also had cheesecake- it was so delicious that I only remembered to take its photo when we ate half of it. :) Absolutely will visit again!

   Called here for lunch yesterday when wandering around York with the kids. Had a wonderful meal. Gyros were lovely and the kids enjoyed the proper pizza's! The only thing we did not like was the compulsory service charge added onto the bill. This is something that grinds on me. We are always happy to tip if the service is good, but being forced to pay a service charge is not something we are used to.

   I went here last week for a birthday meal and it was great! Great service, pretty environment and very friendly staff! We were welcomed and seated pretty much as soon as we walked in and the waiting time for the food was decent! Zara who was serving us was lovely, such a great service! We weren’t waiting too long and the food was also really good. The burger I had was delicious and the fries were good too! I especially loved the little pot of sauce that came with the meal! The meal was also beautifully presented! Very friendly and welcoming place that serves really nice food! Definitely recommend :)

   A must try place for halal food in York, owner was extremely friendly and food was 10/10. I ordered the meaty pizza and swapped out the ham for spicy beef as the ham isn't halal there, and the Mrs had the homemade lasagna which was also delicious. Shop was extremely cosy and clean highly recommended for an amazing halal restaurant in York city centre.

   We went early evening on a Friday and it was very quiet. Seated straight away, quick service. Food was good - what you'd expect from a kebab place but quite pricey. Halal too which was a bonus.

   Great food great staff. Only planned on having a drink because when we passed by it just looked like being abroad. The place really makes you feel like your sat in a little family ran restaurant in the Mediterranean. We had the chicken gyro pizza that was top tier lovely meet and lovely taste. The staff were attentive and caring and made us feel like we were regulars. Will visit again and hope them all the best. A little bit of Holliday on the doorstep of the shambles. Spot on.
