   We are really disappointed with our waitor today. I believe his name is Rahi/Rahil. We had a lovely meal and then ordered two desserts. One was Baklava and the other was a Kunafa Chocolate cake. All the food was really nice as per usual (I have been many times and never disappointed) except for the Kunaffa Chocolate cake which was stale. I told the waitor and he said he can't do anything about it because I've bitten into it. 90% of the cake was still on the plate. I said to him how would I know if it was stale if I had not tasted it. He could see that the whole slice was there except for a couple of small bites.He walked off without resolving the issue. I then called him back and asked for a complaints form and he said all he can do is give feedback to the suppliers. I have visited this Damascena countless times and never complained about the food but his attitude was extremely disappointing. Please teach you staff some basic customer service.

   I kept hearing about this place everywhere, so we decided to try their breakfast mezze. At first, we were mistakenly served the mixed starters, but the staff quickly corrected it. The breakfast mezze turned out to be almost the same, just with an extra chakchouka or jazmuz added. Unfortunately, the jazmuz was very watery and tasteless the foul was a bit hard, and the crispy bread was not good at all. The only dishes I actually enjoyed were the aubergine and the falafel, which I have to give credit for. We also had fatayer the cheese one was good, but the other flavour was really disappointing. Overall, it wasn’t a good breakfast experience. The coffee was nice we had a Spanish latte but we didn’t feel encouraged to order anything else since we already didn’t like what we had. The bill came around to £40, and to my surprise, they added a 10% service charge without mentioning it beforehand. On the positive side, the service was friendly and professional. Yes, they made a mistake at the beginning, but they fixed it quickly and didn’t charge us extra for the crispy bread that came by mistake. Still, overall, I wouldn’t eat here again. One more thing the chairs are very small, and the tables are crammed too close together, which is especially uncomfortable when you have children.

   It’s rare to find a place that combines such a lovely ambiance with such kind hospitality, but Damascena does it effortlessly. The atmosphere here is great from the music to the seating it’s amazing, we always come back here because the food is honestly top tier. It’s just so filling! The hygiene here is excellent , everything is spotless and feels super cared for. Staff are honestly super welcoming always and you can see they enjoy what they do from how they interact between themselves. I had a lovely conversation and service from waitress Mayar who was very smiley and sweet, working super hard as well as Israa extremely kind when serving us and making sure we got everything we wanted. Thank you Damascena!

   Outstanding. Great filling food and very helpful service from Israa and Rahi! Went for the first time with my family and were blown away (especially by the falafel - very crispy on the outside but fluffy in the middle - and the lemon zest chicken baguette). Absolutely coming back. Price reasonable for portion sizes - baklava and milkshakes thoroughly enjoyable.

   A hidden gem. Looks like a little café however it's so much more. You walk in and you get a middle eastern vibe. The decor is simple but beautiful. You walk down and it leads to another room where there are plenty of tables to take a seat. There's outdoor seating aswell. Lots of options for food, you can order breakfast at any time of the day. The fresh juice selection was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

   Visited Sunday 6/1/23. Staff were welcoming and helpful. I had Mixed Mezi With Damescena Fuul, Harissa hummus and Turkish coffee with Cardamon. Beautiful mixture of aromas and flavours. Substantial choice of dishes, good sized portions. Only criticism is it was a little cramped but this wouldn't put me off coming back. If I could give 4.5 I would.

   Went to Damascena in the early evening for some quick drinks. It was absolutely empty so found a table and sat. No one came to the table to take our order so just went to the bar and ordered the drinks I wanted. After I paid I realised I have been charged a 10% service charge without anyone letting me know. Then I looked on the menu and saw it's optional. 10 minutes later our drinks were just sitting on the bar but there wasn't a single member of staff near to bring them. We had to go to the bar and ask the bartender if they are our drinks and if we can have them over. In addition our table had used cutlery and receipts from the previous people. You cannot charge for service when there isn't any service at all.

   Amazing café! This place really has its own unique vibe and is well worth seeking out. You're greeted by friendly staff and a wealth of baked goods and baklava on the front counter. Towards the back, there is a good sized seating area and outdoor dining area. The menu is traditional Middle Eastern dishes, and a decent amount of it can be made gluten-free and/or vegan. The service was fairly quick (Sunday afternoon) and the staff were very helpful. The food and drinks were fantastic and fairly priced. There's also good facilities for disabled customers and baby changing. All in all, a great experience. Can't wait to go back!

   When I entered the restaurant I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience. The restaurant was neat, people are very polite and it was bustling. I had to wait for 5-10mins as suggested by the usher. The ambience portrays a middle East feel. Now coming to the dishes, all the dishes were of excellent taste and quality which you can see from the pictures I have posted.Its definitely a value for money. The service was as well very good. Overall I had a very good experience... Hopefully they continue to maintain it...
