Can we give 6 stars, please? What a fab place, so much so, we had dessert even though we were full, as we wanted the whole experience. Food freshly made. Superb ingredients, wonderfully tasty. Thoroughly worth a visit.
I've eaten here three times so far and will be going back again. Great food, great value and Great atmosphere. I've attached photos but my photography isn't up to the standard of their presentation. I wholeheartedly recommend.

I have wanted to visit Los Moros since Jay Rayner reviewed almost 2 years ago and I drooled over the pictures and descriptions. However, I live nowhere near York, but lucky me, I was visiting for work this week! I had high expectations and they were smashed. Everything was absolutely delicious. I was with a colleague who doesn't eat red meat, so I didn't order the ox cheeks or merguez that I would've usually. Next time, as there WILL be a next time! Everything was delicious, the service was fantastic and the vibe was wonderful. I even ate and enjoyed cauliflower. I have NEVER enjoyed cauliflower!! It was all so enticing that I kept forgetting to take photos. Highly highly recommend.
Unbelievable food! It was my birthday and I wanted a reasonably priced, not fancy/ pretentious place to celebrate with my family and Los Moros was the perfect restaurant. Hands down the best place to eat in York, if you want mouth watering, delicious food… look no further! In the photos below we enjoyed the Hummus and flatbread, buttermilk chicken, chilli prawns, aged lamb and a few other amazing dishes!!
Outstanding North African food in the heart of York. Each item is amazing. The haddock croquettes were especially delicious. The whipped feta is very good, comes with pitas dripping in olive oil. The fish fillet is also very tasty.
Had the most amazing meal. The staff were super friendly and the service was amazing. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again.
A wonderful experience for our wedding anniversary not least the lovely touch of an anniversary dessert! The lamb rump (35 day aged) was sublime best we've ever tasted. The aubergine dip flat breads and spiced potatoes all very good great flavour.
I had some of the most delicious food I have eaten for a long time in this stylish, yet laid back restaurant, which serves North African cuisine. The cassoulet was rich and tasty and the cheesecake with turkish delight was outstanding.
Never write reviews but this had to be done!! Absolutely stunning little restaurant in the centre of York.. hands down the best food I have EVER eaten. Very cosy and the staff are all incredibly lovely and welcoming, a very chill environment! Would 100% recommend - will definitely be coming here again. Thank you for your service all x
