Went for Sunday roast and it was honestly excellent. Everything was cooked perfectly - the meat was tender, the potatoes spot on, and the gravy was rich and full of flavour (the kind you want to pour over everything). No gimmicks, just really good food done properly. A great place for a proper Sunday meal - comforting, generous, and very satisfying.

Blacklock Shoreditch was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The steak was truly outstanding in both flavour and quality β perfectly cooked, rich, juicy, and clearly prepared with real skill and care. Every bite felt deliberate and confident, exactly what you hope for from a restaurant known for meat. The sides were equally impressive and far from secondary; each one was full of flavour and thoughtfully prepared, complementing the main dish beautifully. We visited on a Friday night, and although the restaurant was very busy, everything felt calm and well organised. There was no sense of chaos or rushed service, which says a lot about how well the place is run. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient throughout. We went for the βAll Inβ option, which was an excellent choice. It included a starter and two sides, and for two people the total came to Β£63 including the service charge. For the quality, atmosphere and overall experience, it felt extremely good value. A restaurant that genuinely lives up to its reputation.

Does Blacklock Shoreditch live up to the hype? Is this the best home-style Sunday roast in London? After this showing, quite possibly, yesβ¦! Superb, thick slices of beef, amazing gravy, great roasties, friendly service, in a cool, buzzy dining room. And the bread and butter pudding is top notch too. Decent value too. I can now see why this place is booked out two months in advance. We will be back. Soon.

Came for a work Christmas party, 17 of us, great service and great food. Highly recommend for large group bookings, as well as solo / smaller groups too. Pie was great, seasonal pigs in blankets were nice too, good cocktails and desserts as well. Only 1 vegetarian main option on the menu which many felt was a bit overpriced/not great, but it is a steakhouse.

As an American, I was not familiar with Sunday Roast. After having roast here on 15 January, I wonβt ever forget it! Itβs so delicious I booked again for the following Sunday! The meat, the veggies, potatoes, and especially the Yorkshire pudding with lots of gravy were terrific. Best to book through Open Table ahead of time to get your spot. Word to the wise, if youβre looking for a quiet spot to eat, this is not it. Itβs very crowded and lively. Donβt let that stop you. Itβs that good!

Excellent steak. Came here with 5 friends for the Butcherβs price Mondayβs. Most of us opted for the Porterhouse steak, for me rare. It was cooked perfectly with juicy fatty bits. The sides of chips, sweet potato, bone marrow, slaw and baby gem were all delicious. The gravy and chop sauce were also yummy. We finished off with the legendary white chocolate cheesecake that lived up to reputation, really tasty but not overly sweet or heavy despite a generous serving. The server Frederica was especially friendly and helpful looking after us, props to her!

"Went in a boy, came out a changed man" as my boyfriend said. We visited London from Boston, and this was the best steak dinner we've ever had. This place was so good, we came twice. The quality of the beef, the flavor, the way it was cooked was just perfect. Their sides were amazing. We ordered the rib-eye, rump cap, the beef dripping fries (chips), 10 hour ash baked sweet potato, garlic bone marrow (you MUST get this to spread on the steak!!), the broccoli walnut salad, fruit crumble with custard, and cheesecake which they have a "say when" approach, aka they bring they whole tray over and you let them know when to stop! They ended up giving us the of a tray which was just delicious!! The cocktails are also incredible. The staff were very friendly. We walked in and got seated on a Saturday night. They were able to get us in by 6:45pm instead of our 8:45pm reservation no problem on a Monday. You are really missing out if you don't come here for a meal. They source the best meat in the country and they took their time doing so. They also have a sustainable approach by helping to plant trees and using every bit of the cow in their dishes. Take a minute to read their story on the back of their menu. We can't wait to come back :)

Meat lover? Try Blacklock Shoreditch for a great meat feast. Amazing cuts with an awesome taste. Keep a spot for desserts as well, well worth the white chocolate pudding. Don't miss a nice red wine and a cocktail chaser, or two - they do have a nice price that makes you believe you are not in London.
