Needed to leave a good review when I saw this rating. Some of the best Chinese food I've had in London and they have a great hygiene rating and delivery is quick! Don't listen to these silly low reviews, absolutely 10/10!

Food is great but the customer service is terrible. I ordered from uber eats but because May Mei Wok use their own delivery drivers, it does not show where they are or even if they’re on the way. So I called the store and simply asked if they’re have the correct address and what the estimated time of arrival would be. The woman I spoke to on the phone then started being rude and shouted “you just ordered so it’s not going to arrive now” yeah obviously it won’t arrive now but I don’t think my question was too difficult to answer, even if she didn’t know that’s all she had to say. Then she said “you ordered Squid you should know how long that takes to prepare?” No offense but I’m not Chinese so I have no clue how long their food takes to prepare and I just don’t think my simple question warranted this response.

I don't usually write reviews but from being a regular customer and seeing the current rating I was a tad confused. I can guarantee and rate a solid 10 if I could! The food never fails and it's honestly one of the most trusted / legit Chinese food in the area. Don't watch the views! Go ahead and order because it's definitely worth it and they couldn't be any more friendly. The space is old and traditional and i love that they haven't made changes, so if you're used to Mayfair standards, course you won't get that sit-in experience. Thank you for your ongoing service and delivering the best!

Ordered a takeaway on JustEat tonight and it was the best Chinese I’ve had in ages. Arrived piping hot in less than 45 minutes. Big portions. Authentic flavours. Good prices. All the classics done well. Really pleased with it all and will definitely order from them again!! Order: Singapore Chow Mein, Kung Po King Prawn, Salt and Pepper Squid, Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls, Vegetable Spring Rolls The prawns were excellent, squid nice and fresh, chow mein very flavoursome (and a huge portion), spring rolls and prawn crackers chucked in for free, all for £33 including delivery. Very good.

Sad but true, just think twice August 2025 Am having more bad experiences here now , more than good ones. Always used to be good and consistent standard but now standards have dropped. Over cooked and burnt hard batters, chips been defrosted and part deep fat fried cooked and left out drying in a tray in oil making them gave funny texture and taste, not fresh, I know the tricks if the trade and the end results, looks and tastes. Wrong order ingredients in dishes too. Always something wrong now. Can do better at home and hesitate to order from here now Thing is they been doing it years and should be masters, they know it’s not up to standard but pack it and send it anyway. Just grabbing your money and sticking a finger up at you . Try else where as these guys have strayed of the path and have got lost. Read less Rock hard burnt, can not bite so hard Dehydrated chips too They can cook rice in a steamer and re heat okay

I always eat here and always been satisfied. The sweet and sour is great and the price is cheap. They give free prawn crackers and the delivery is fast. All around good experience.

WRONG ORDER, CURLY HAIRS IN FOOD & POOR MANNERS. DO NOT EAT HERE. Absolutely awful, stay away! I ordered from this dump this evening. Not only was one of the dishes completely wrong - giving me chicken instead of pork, my satay chicken dish was plagued with curly black hairs. Needless to say dinner went in the bin. When I called to inform them of the wrong dish and stray hairs the lady answering the phone replied “it will be better next time”. I asked for a refund And offered to give back all dishes so they can see the state of food they’re sending out to customers to which she replied “I’m just the telephone person”. She then hung up. I think its pretty evident that whilst some people are brought up, others are dragged up. Manners and hygiene cost nothing in this world so it would be nice for people to maintain high levels of both. Perhaps I’m just being naive. Very disappointing.

The barmy old woman in here is hopeless. She doesn't listen. Too busy doing Internet orders. Got home to find the two items were wrong. How hard is it to get two items right lol ? I can't eat pork so I know I asked for duck. If she's serving you then double check your order. She makes a massive fuss about how busy she is. So dramatic. Like one telephone order and an Internet order she loses her mind. Its not cheap in there and its actually not even particularly nice. Oh and wonton soup is meant to contain dumplings. There's are hideous obviously frozen strips of chicken with greasy mushrooms and a watery liquid. I can't call it a soup. More like slop. No dumplings lol how do they even get away with this ? Go somewhere else. Just called them. She obviously blamed me. I told her I can't eat pork. Called me a liar. Well that's an ex customer who regularly contributes to blogs they've annoyed. Overpriced average to poor food with the worst customer service I've ever encountered. This place needs closing down.

I am a regular customer and noticed that the food quality has gone down drastically whilst the price has gone up. The food is so greasy especially the chow mein, the food is only fresh if you get lucky, otherwise you can tell its not, taste is bland and even the free prawn crackers are hard like a rock, like I said if you get lucky, you will be given the fresh ones. I had a missing item and the customer service was really poor. They didn't do anything about it. That's how they treat their customers.

I ate in and always come pick up so food has always been speedy! Classic beef hofun, special fried rice and Singaporean vermicelli never disappoint me! Great comfort food.
