    Really delicious Chinese takeaway for a very good price! Delivery was quick and friendly as well. They even gave us complementary prawn crackers :)

    I’m really disappointed with my recent order. The food looked ok at first but made me seriously ill. I ordered the duck dish and special rice –I’ve been sick for four days, unable to eat properly and dealing with vomit first and then severe diarrhoea. Uber Eats only issued a partial refund at first, even though the entire meal was affected and couldn’t be enjoyed. I’ve ordered few times before without major issues, but this experience was unacceptable. I hope the restaurant and Uber Eats take this seriously and improve their food safety and quality control. Answering your reply: Hi Philac Team, Thank you for your response. I want to clarify a few points. First, I do not have pictures of the food because, as mentioned, everything looked completely fine at the time of ordering. What I can assure you is that I was perfectly well before eating, and the symptoms started shortly afterwards –so yes, I am confident it was related to that meal. Second, it is not accurate to say that I did not contact anyone. I reached out to Deliveroo immediately after becoming unwell, on several occasions, as this is the official route for reporting issues with an order. I did not contact the restaurant directly, but Deliveroo was informed right away. What feels unfair here is the lack of accountability in your reply. Denying any possibility of an issue does not make the problem disappear, and suggesting that my review is β€œunfair” simply because the symptoms cannot be photographed isn’t right either. I am not posting this to harm your business –I have ordered from you many times before without any problems. But trying to deflect responsibility and ignore any possibility that something went wrong is not appropriate, and unfortunately, after reading other reviews, this seems to be a pattern. You may not care, but you have now lost a regular customer. I hope future customers are treated with more openness when reporting a problem. Best regards

    I have really had bad experiences of last week and this week ordering a takeaway. This is the 3rd time I ordered something, and something different was brought to me every time and today I decided to leave the food for them because this happens with me all the time.the own should do something about the situation.     This is a gem of a Chinese restaurant. I was completely surprised at what I found here. Really good quality food at very reasonable prices. Portion sizes are also massive! Excellent flavours and good ingredients used. If you dine in, food will arrive amazingly quick. They deliver too within a 2mile (3km) radius. What could be better is maybe an explanation on the menu what the main ingredients are. Had the hot and sour soup but didn't know there was shellfish and pork in it. Not a major train smash but not my thing. The hot and sour soup portion was massive and quite tasty with great spice. The duck fried vermicelli was on form and the crispy beef was the crispiest I have ever had. Couldn't fault any of the dishes.

    Came in for some nice chinese food :) We were greeted with nice and cool interior and friendly staff David and Kayan! The waiting time was short and food came out hot and filled the plate. Really nice local spot :)

    Absolutely useless! Even after getting them to repeat the order back they still deliver up to half the order wrong. That's 5 times in a row now.

    The hot and sour soup was good and it came quickly but the rest was puzzling. They seriously made the fried calamari too salty and over-fried. And the chicken was … questionable

    Been going here since I was a kid and when I went off to uni, I always looked forward to coming back to London to have takeaway from Phi Lac! Their food is always delicious and I practically order here weekly if there's nothing at home or I crave their food. They get busy a lot, but from the quality of their food, it's pretty much expected. Why I'm always patient with them! It's always worth it. If you want the best type of Chinese food, I can't recommend this place enough.

    Don’t usually order Chinese food as it comes with tons of carbs & little meat and is quite greasy. However this place is good and the food is quite tasty and hot. I usually order the salt & pepper squid & Singaporean noodles. The squid is crunchy and piping hot and the noodles is seasoned well.
