   Through a friend’s recommendation, I’ve eaten here many times, and this is the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. The prices are about half of what you’d pay in a restaurant. My favorite dish is the shredded crispy beef fragrant, and spicy, absolutely delicious! And chili garlic chicken wings Everything is freshly cooked to order, hot and full of flavor. I feel very lucky to have found food with such great quality and value. I’ll definitely be coming back often! If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend giving it a go.

   Solid Chinese food, worth trying Tried Happy Inn Chinese Takeaway a few times now and it’s been pretty consistent. The food is simple, comforting, and actually hits the spot, especially when you don’t feel like cooking. Portions are decent and the prices are fair for London. One thing I like is that they’re quite flexible with spice levels. If you don’t eat spicy food, you can just tell them “no spicy” when ordering. If you do like heat, it’s easy to add chili yourself, so it works for different preferences without any fuss. Delivery has been reliable and the food usually arrives hot. Nothing over-the-top fancy, but it does what a good takeaway should do. I’d say it’s a good option for Goldsmiths students or anyone nearby looking for a regular, no-stress Chinese takeaway. Worth giving it a try if you’re in the area.

   I’ve lived nearby for 15 years and have been ordering from Happy Inn all this time. It’s the best Chinese restaurant in our southeast area. The chicken wings and the king prawn chow mein are especially good — I order them every time. The food is always served piping hot and has a real home-style feel. Their chili oil is homemade, incredibly fresh, and properly spicy. The atmosphere is also great: air-conditioned in summer and heater in winter. I like chatting with the staff — it’s very relaxing.

   Lovely family run business. We use for our Chinese takeaway & they smashed it as usual. Very busy, but always friendly welcome and fast service. Chicken satay skewers, crispy duck, ho fun, brocoli, pork with Singapore fried rice, crispy duck etc are the usual family orders.

   I gave them an extra £10 note by mistake and they told me that I’m not getting it back! AWFUL! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POOR! I even heard their driver say that I gave them extra cash but quickly cut the call so I couldn’t hear any of their conversation. Luckily I recorded the call for evidence.

   I ordered crispy, shredded beef with pork fried rice it was cold, lacking flavour. The beef looked old, the chicken balls that I ordered also were greasy. Sweet-and-sour sauce did not taste authentic. Very disappointing. this is the worst Chinese I’ve ever had if you want good Chinese go to Happy Inn New Cross Gate

   Just got my first order. I've been struggling to find a good Chinese in London. This was amazing! I couldn't fault it. I got chilli beef, seafood chow mein and prawn dumplings. Everything tasted like it had been made to order rather than being sat for ages. Prawn crackers were light, crunchy and didn't taste of old oil. Super fast delivery too. This is going to be my number one Chinese from now on!

   Not sure if they’ve changed chef but their fried rice is dry and tasteless & doesn’t taste fresh at all. The Best Chinese takeaway in the surrounding area is the Chinese takeaway in Camberwell. Tasty house. You won’t be disappointed.
