   I’ve ordered from Great Wall Chinese takeout many times but my most recent experience was extremely upsetting. When my sister’s order was taken incorrectly we tried to clarify the issue but the staff were very rude and dismissive. There seemed to be a big communication barrier and instead of trying to understand what we were saying or helping us find a solution we were met with shouting and hostility. They also refused to correct my sister’s order saying the food had already been made. I called back only about two minutes after my sister placed the order so I personally found it hard to believe it could have been cooked that quickly. It made me feel like the food might not be freshly prepared at least based on my experience. If freshness is important to you, you may want to consider another shop. Instead of resolving the mistake we were told to “find another shop” and never order again. As a regular customer I was really disappointed by how the situation was handled. I left feeling uncomfortable and upset. Unfortunately I no longer feel able to order from them. If you’re someone who prefers calm and respectful customer service this might not be the right place for you based on my experience. I now have to look for a new spot because this one just isn’t okay for me anymore.

   Hot fast, basic meals. Not overly flavoured. I miss spices on some things, expensive to use maybe. I have tried the rices, chow mein and some mixed meat dishes. Prices have gone too high. Nothing special as now cutting down the amounts of chicken and pork in the fried rice.

   I've been eating this Chinese since 2004!!! Do the math lol. Best Chinese ever!!! They have been so consistent and I cannot complain!! I'm a big foodie fan but Great wall is just super unique. Bussing!!!!!!!

   Very bad ordering experience. I ordered mushroom fried rice, which was clearly mentioned as VEGETARIAN, but without being mentioned in the recipe ingredients, egg was added to it. A person with religious inclinations that avoid me having non vegetarian food or eggs of any sorts, the customer care was also of no help at all. They didn’t care about the problem and dismissed it as fast as fhey could. I would urge all to avoid having food here on account of bad taste, ordering experience, customer service, and most of all, surprising events which you do not expect or intend on having

   Tasty, fresh and very quick friendly service. I'm vegetarian and they swap anything for tofu, and do veggie versions of lots if things that are not on the menu (including hot and sour soup).

   Best Chinese in Hackney! And I’ve certainly tried my fair few - so many Chinese takeaways in the area are overpriced, tasteless and watery - Great Wall however is actually a really tasty takeaway, and very well priced compared to its competitors. Sweet and Sour Chicken is always a great choice, and love their Salt and Pepper wings too. Basics such as fried rice, curry sauce and chow mein hit the nail on the head. Guy that works there is also really nice, and you can pay by card which is rare! Always packed on weekends so make sure to call ahead!

   First used this takeaway in 1982 lol Moved back to the area 8 years ago and pleased to say still good quality and value for money compared to others, May take a few trys to place a phone / delivery order but worth the effort, usually delivered within half an hour nice and hot. Portions a good size, rice is always cooked well, noodles are not greasy and decent cuts of meat in mains. Also tasty vegetarian options available, I would definitely have tou fu / bean curn dishes again. If you like Chinese food you can't go wrong here.
