Visited meadowhall store to have my granddaughters feet measured. They only had one pair of shoes in 'H' width, but not her size. Assistant brought next size up which was loose. Assistant just sat there looking blankly at us. Not a very good experience. I can remember when staff were really pleasant and helpful and would order shoes in the size and width required . Sadly those days are gone. I shouldn't really have expected anything else as even when she required a 'G' fitting whichever store we visited never had shoes that fit her. There's no wonder sales are down. You can't even get an 'H' fitting when you go onto the Clarke's website. A very poor service from Clarke's. As a family we've bought shoes from Clarke's for 70 + years, however we will not be visiting again.

Unfortunately not a very good experience. Went to get my twin boys their first pair of shoes. The staff were not welcoming at all and didn't even greet us or offer to help with sizing/ getting shoes etc. They also seemed to have a very limited range to choose from. We struggled to get the double pram around the shop as things had been left in the way and staff didn't offer to help or move things. We ended up going to Clinks where we had a lovely experience.

Despite not measuring my Grandson feet correctly then only giving us a partial refund of £15 instead of the original price of £38 then we ordered another pair that were £49 but not the color brown we wanted only in blue in the stire so they said they would order another pair free delivery to my daughters home address they came within 2 days but the incorrect color blue called them explained everything so we had to take them back next day 20 mile round trip but they did not seem that bothered still waiting for delivery had confirmation hope there not blue again even though it did say brown on the 1st delivery most expensive shoe ever purchase would not recommend Clarks SHOCKING experience:(

A good shoe shop with some very good style, I've always found it the best place for young children's shoes as their fitting service is second to none. Adult shoes are very good quality, and tend to last longer than , budget shoes. Staff are very friendly and helpful , sometimes a little bit too eager, I personally like time to browse before being approached, but other than this small gripe it's an excellent shop.
