Good Japanese style canteen. Service is good and fast. Bento boxes are great, katsu sauce was not super warm and lacking flavor, chicken karage was underwhelming but would go back to try other things

Serves home-style Japanese food for reasonable prices. Tonkotsu ramen was light but creamy, and the chashu they used was delicious. Unagi gyu was not bad as well. Double kaarage had a nice crunch, but itβs as crunchy as the other kaarage places Iβve had. Β£42 for all this food.

Ate here wayyy too many times -itβs just that good. Not a huge menu but i love the bento boxes! Itβs classic and easy. Super sweet staff with good vibes cannot recommend enough especially since thereβs so many restaurants on that streetβTaro never disappoints. (Great option if you have a picky eater with you)

We had miso soup, chicken teri don, and chicken teriyaki soba. Generous portions, good flavour, and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and quick. Itβs always busy, but the waitβs never long. Not the quietest spot, but perfect for a quick, no-fuss lunch. Been coming here for yearsβstill just as good every time Iβm back in London.

Taro Japanese restaurant in Soho is a great place to go for a casual meal with friends, family, or event done alone. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming dining space, and the menu features a wide variety of Japanese dishes, including ramen, sushi, and noodles. I recently had the opportunity to try Taro for myself where I was sat at the counter overlooking all the chefs at work (much to my delight), and I was very impressed with the quality of the food. I ordered the sushi set dish, and the sushi was also excellent, with fresh, flavourful fish and rice. In addition to the food, Taro also has a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant has a relaxed, casual feel. Overall, I highly recommend Taro Japanese restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable meal in Soho.

We walked around to have dinner somewhere, affordable, tasty and fast as it was raining that day a lot. Looked at their menu on the window and saw a lot of people inside. Went in. The senior gentleman who sees everyone can quickly communicate and foresee who will leave their table soon and he can accommodate new walk ins. The place was full and this man managed to find us a table, just asked to wait for 5 min. The team works fast and efficient. The food was delicious. Toilet is downstairs. We were really happy that we came across this restaurant. Very recommend to visit it when you are near Piccadilly area.

Medium restaurant with good light and nice and fast attention. I recommend the Chicken Teri Don and Pork Teri Don and any tempura. One of the best price/value ratio in London. Bathrooms not very clean.

Cheap and cheerful. Don't go expecting 5* surroundings and food, but you will get decent service and great value. The Katsu chicken was okay, but the sauce was a bit Starchy and Hutch. Bento boxes looked alright, but the Chicken Teryaki has a ridiculous amount of chicken. I will certainly be back again to try some different dishes.
