Recently we went for my aunties birthday it was lots of Xmas parties and we cannot all recommend Southport’s hidden gem enough ! Thank you for making her birthday night out so memorable !
What a perfect Sunday lunch! Everything was just right — from the cozy ambiance to the beautifully presented dishes. The flavors were rich and comforting, making each bite a true delight. Service was warm and attentive, without being intrusive. It felt like a home away from home, ideal for unwinding and savoring good food with loved ones. A memorable experience I’d gladly repeat!
A really lovely restaurant just off Lord Street. First time here and the food was excellent, with a good wine list. ‘Set Menu’ prices are very reasonable, although we did pay for ‘supplements’. Really friendly and efficient service without being pretentious. A lovely atmosphere; stylish decor, good music, and a nice vibe on a Saturday evening. Will definitely return when visiting Southport.
Called in for lunch on Friday. Lots of other places were closed or shut down. Thank goodness this place is quality lovely staff great fixed price lunch menu and the food was spot on all served pupilg hot full of flavour. Having even regular visitors to Southport we could not believe how its gone down hill what a shame. If we do ever go back to Southport we go back to Auberge. Thank You Greg.
Thank you for an excellent New Year's Eve. Food and wine were great. (Starter and main meal were very good. Cheese board needs a little work for next year.) Service was exemplary. Atmosphere and entertainment was especially enjoyable. See you again soon.
Where too start with this place . We came at 4:30 and the restraunt was pretty queit we didnt want off the lunch menu which the evening menu only starts at 5:30, so we had ordered drinks when they came we polietly said we dont want food as we wanted stuff on the other menu and with the time we was too early why the rush hadnt started she allowed us too pick from the evening menu . The food was amazing i cant rate it enough everything was cooked perfectly too taste and very pleasing too the eye our service was also amazing really went above and beyond too meet our needs and made up happy and welcome the atmosphere was brilliant and the pricing was good too . I really would highly recommend and i certainly will be going again as we often go too southport couldnt fault this restraunt for its food and service and all round everything its also very clean the toilets are imaculate
Julia told us that their chef of many years had recently died so I won't criticize the meal too much. Think you have some work to do before I can return
Found this hidden gem down a side street off Lord Street. We tried the early doors set menu. The young lady that served us was great, full of smiles and very polite. The set menu offers 3 or 4 options for each course. The food which arrived very promptly was exceptionally good, so good that despite living over 23 miles away, I am planning a return visit next month. The restaurant decor is very classy. We ate outside, which was lovely in the sunshine, but I will opt to stay inside next to enjoy the surroundings. A restaurant that caters for those on a budget with its set menu, or those who opt to choose off the main menu, which in my opinion was still very reasonably priced as well. 5 out of 5 for the experience that we had on the day, well done Auberge and thanks, hope to see you soon!
