The design stage was great, and choosing the bathroom and finishes was a smooth experience. However, Wickes recommended the fitter, and while he was good at the actual bathroom installation, he lacked the skills to deliver a true turnkey finish. Doors, external holes and other details were left below standard. Wickes then hid behind βspecialist worksβ contracts, effectively claiming that anything considered βspecialistβ is not their responsibility. This leaves customers exposed and unprotected. Overall, be very careful, the initial service may seem great, but the accountability after fitting is extremely limited.

Recently purchased some products for built paragola and decking in my garden. Wickes Baguley has a wide range of quality DIY products at competitive prices. Staff are generally helpful, and the store is well-organized, making it easy to find what you need. A solid choice for home improvement shopping.

I had a bathroom fitted Jan 2022. Iβve had issues such as warped surfaces, extractor fan not working and have reported these in August 2022. I have completed a complaint form, contacted customer service a million times since August last year reporting the issues. They have sent replacement worktop and fan however had no one come to replace them. I ring once a week and they keep telling me they are sorting it. My bathroom is going mouldy and due to no extractor fan have to keep window open all the time. Light fitting has gone rusty yet I ring everyweek and still same answer and no action. My complaint from I completed online and emailed them I have had no response to in 2weeks. The after service is terrible . I would not recommend them going forward to anyone!!!

Bathroom disaster courtesy of Wickes Baguley. 12 months since paying in full for a bathroom including installation we now have a non-functioning bathroom and a front garden that resembles a scene from Shameless! Wickes customer service have offered another fitter to resolve this unsatisfactory situation in Jan 2023. I concur with everything the previous review stated including the reluctance of the Initial designer (Tony B also) to become involved and help resolve the difficulties. I too took to contacting the Wickes CEO, who have been of moderate help. It is worrying though that a p.l.c. has the need of a whole Department and dedicated 'Zendesk' portal to manage complaints that get escalated to CEO level. There has to be better communication at store and regional level to prevent this from happening. The REGIONAL installation Manager could never been contacted, refused to ring me, and when asked to make a visit to the property I was told he couldn't as he wasn't local. Hardly ideal for a Regional Manager! There is a whole lot I could write on this most unsatisfactory episode but I now need to focus on removing the stuff they did take out of the bathroom and trying to find someone to remedy the situation. This has caused our family a great deal of stress and inconvenience, and we are now around Β£700 out of pocket that I expect Wickes to at least correct.

It was fine, I got there at 7am and it was open as advertised. It's not a massive store so the overall product selection is a bit limited but fine for my needs. The staff were pleasant enough. I did want some timber cutting to size but this is not a service offered in this store so I had to get my hand saw out in the car park in order to be able to fit my purchases in the car!

'Let's do it wrong' I paid the Wickes installation cost for what was supposed to be a stress free experience - it was anything but stress free. If RC Kitchens and bedrooms (Ronnie) is assigned to complete your kitchen - run a thousand miles. Mistakes happen - that is life. But instead of taking ownership for his mistakes, the kitchen fitter made up one hundred and one excuses, including blaming Wickes for being cheap quality (his words, not mine!) and accusing me of tampering with my own kitchen. Kitchen fitter would roll his eyes and huffed and puffed like a toddler if I politely spoke to him about any of the issues. He became aggressive at one point and I had to ask him to leave my home. Once the kitchen designer has their commission from your sale, they will not care anymore. Tony B during the design stage stated that he would be here to help if any issues occurred during installation. When things started to go wrong, surprise surprise, he couldn't care less! He helped with one issue only, and told me to go contact someone else with the other issues, as it had nothing to do with him. Beyond belief that a national company thinks it is acceptable to treat customers like this. If I was to list everything that went wrong, I would be here all day. But just as a quick summary: - Kitchen fitter caused an electrical fault which caused issues with our heating. Had to call our own engineer and electrician to fix the issue, as the kitchen fitter and his electrician were not able to fix it. - Joints in a worktop which were not cut or sealed correctly- started to crack and come apart after only 2 weeks. - Cabinets which do not line up and cabinet doors which do not close properly. - Kitchen fitter disposing of his cigarette ends around my garden. - No quality control - certain items had to be re-ordered over 5 times, as they kept arriving damaged. Wickes were unable to provide a remedial fitter anytime soon to fix the issues left by the kitchen fitter. After a lot of back and forth with Wickes customer relations team and having to write to the CEO, I was finally given some money back so that I can now find my own tradesmen to fix the issues. Save yourself from the stress and go elsewhere!

Shower screen has just exploded without warning. Didn't fall off wall, no DIY mishaps, just exploded. If i was bathing my baby at the time, they would have been seriously injured if not worse. No offer of help, don't want to consider a recall for others who may have this screen, just said "thanks for the feedback". Awful company who will gladly put your family in danger with poor quality products.
