“Good service as always. Yard crew are helpful and quite knowledgeable. Shop staff are extremely knowledgeable but the computers can be slow. Delivery drivers are brilliant. And quality of timber products is top notch meant to last. One downside is how rough the shared entrance road is.”

“I went in today to drop my plane iron off for the in-store sharpening service. Nathaniel offered to call me back once it was done, and give me a demo on how to set the plane up, and use it as well. He went above and beyond with getting the blade flat and sharp, and set it up beautiful, giving me some fantastic advice! It's my Grandad's old plane so I'm absolutely thrilled to have it working, and cannot thank Nathaniel enough. Aside from this, I always get great service and advice, and great products of course - cannot recommend the store and team enough.”

“I purchased a Boxford AUD lathe earlier this year. It proved to be in first class condition and i am delighted with its performance. When I visited Ostia tools to view this lathe there was a Harrison 600 milling machine sat on a pallet nearby, naturally this caught my attention... and like a kid in a sweetshop I ended up buying that too. (Whether this is a recognised 'Ostia tools' sales ploy I have no idea, but it worked and I am extremely happy with my purchases). “Had a previous repair where I had a wheeled shopping bag axel which had lost the clip permanently clipped in place, this time I thought the other one had broken and wouldn't lock in place any more. All he had to do, which surprised me was take the clip out, tighten it, put the clip back in and gently bang the wheel back in place. As well as a few garden bits I've bought from this chap, he's been a great help and he's got virtually everything bits and bobs you need for fixing up stuff.”
