We recently purchased a new TV from here. We are not up-to-date with the latest technology, but we knew what we needed. We were given clear and helpful advice and weren't pressured into buying above and beyond what was necessary. Not being technically adept, we paid a bit extra to have it delivered and installed by two equally helpful and friendly guys. As someone else has said here - this shop is a local gem.
I visited to purchase a Scart lead for my TV/DVD player and the two chaps serving each took a sharp intake of breath and said: "scart lead". In fact I think one of them said it twice. So, that was three scart leads. I felt as if I'd asked for the impossible. In fairness, I did not realise that scart leads are not as widely used these days compared to several years ago and so I was indeed asking for something fairly unusual. One of the men headed off into the back and re-appeared just a few minutes later with a scart lead which he had "found". He gave it to me with the shop's compliments. I am extremely grateful and the staff deserve praise - this is service above and beyond what I am used to receiving these days and is a credit to the business. This is not a signal for everyone to expect something for nothing from this gem of a business, but it is a refreshing change to experience this level of service.
Came here to buy a fridge for my elderly parents. So helpful and has an old fashioned style of customer service that deserves a mention. The guys know their stuff and I felt like I was the only customer each time I went to the shop.
