I chose this venue for a small baby shower for my friend today and I was so glad I did! It was a beautiful venue and food. We really enjoyed being there and the afternoon teas / service was great. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Hubby and I were passing through on our way back to Yorkshire after gallery deliveries. We just wanted a cuppa and a bite to eat and Cafe Prego was right on our route! The site is a garden centre but the cafe is clearly signposted and there is a large parking area right outside! The cafe is inside a large polytunnel type structure which feels very sturdy and certainly kept the wind out! It is very nicely laid out, with block paved walking areas interspersed with gravelled areas set out with beautiful potted plants and shrubs. The tables are varied in size and were not set too close either :) Don’t be fooled by the sign offering coffee and desserts - they have a very nice menu with a good choice of savoury options including a very comprehensive all day breakfast menu! We each ordered a 3-egg omelette with a hot drink and it was great! Just a good size, with a nice crisp side salad, and a good slaw! Very happy with that! The hot puddings looked great, especially the homemade jam roll poly and custard, but we were nicely full so didn’t let ourselves be tempted! I have however saved this place to my Google maps and maybe we’ll be able to try it another time ;) Thank you everyone, very friendly service! Great job!

Cafe Prego has a relaxed atmosphere and is located around a garden shop. Peaceful and relaxed vibes here. Ample seating. Food options are limited in range. But make up for the quality. Tasty and good ingredients used. Cards and cash are accepted. Service staff is super polite and willing to explain the menu without fuss. Great hot chocolate, soup of the day. Plenty of parking available

If you like quality coffee and food then avoid Cafe Prego!! Their coffee is second rate and the full English breakfast there was horrible. I am sure it was old food which had been reheated. As a connoisseur of fine food and drink, I definitely won't be returning to this second rate roadside cafe.

First time back in over a year. The coffee is just as good as I remembered - still served with a little piece of lemon cake, which is a lovely touch. The seating has now been extended to the rear in what looks like a covered green house area. Simply gorgeous. Tried the classic Full English. Don't think I'll be eating for the rest of the day. Certainly tasted as good as it looked. Did fancy one of their delicious cakes, but that will have to wait for the next visit.
