“Excellent coffee in a funky setting. The bakery items looked rather nice too.”
“Afternoon tea as a birthday treat all arranged by my son who lives in Australia. A perfect afternoon for my sister (who was in on the treat) and myself. Good choice of sandwiches, savouries, and cakes. Very pretty crockery, as much tea as we wanted. The service was excellent. We bought some of the cake home as there was so much. We have been here before and will certainly go again. As an added extra, my son arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be delivered during our tea.”
“We went this morning with my 4 and 5 year old. We had been disappointed with somewhere else as we had booked to see santa and they had let us down. I came across what I believe to be the owner who said come in and see the grotto. The team looked after my children and made sure they had an amazing time. Additionally, the atmosphere, service and drinks were excellent. I will be returning for a full breakfast in the near future. Thank you to the two men I met outside who made my boys day and the staff for looking after them - it was very much appreciated- thank you.”
“We visited this cafe yesterday lunch as a big group of 9 people. Staff were very accommodating to such a large group and were lovely and patient towards the children. Food was great and the cafe felt like such a friendly environment. Staff were hardworking yet all had a smile on their faces. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Lichfield.”
“I chose this venue for a small baby shower for my friend today and I was so glad I did! It was a beautiful venue and food. We really enjoyed being there and the afternoon teas / service was great. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!”
“First time visiting but wont be the last... Warm, cozy and inviting. Lovely hot chocolate and cinnamon bun. Service was good too. Lovely place for a drink cake and chat.”
“Great selection, great venue, great staff, and great music. A must go in Lichfield.”
“We have been going to pizza by goli for years! The food is always spot on with service to match. We normally go to Sutton Coldfield but tried The Lichfield restaurant last night which was great. We were served by Danielle who really looked after our evening but we were sad to find out at the end that any gratuity could only be cash (nobody carries cash). Please bear this in mind as the food is great but the serving staff were fantastic also.”
“We had a lovely time thank you. We went for the Tom Shepherd Best Ever pie and it didn’t disappoint. Our server, Toni, was friendly and helpful and gave recommendations when asked and helped source my elderly mother a smaller meal via the children’s menu. We have only been here before years ago for my brothers birthday. My brother used the pub regularly. To be honest I don’t know why we haven’t used it more. Maybe we will now. Thanks to all. The food and service were great.”
“Superb place!! The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is generous in proportions and tasty! They’ve got some side shop too for convenient gadgets”
“Emilia our server was very good, engaging and friendly. Food was reasonable, it was quite quiet which was a surprise but 2 weeks before Christmas maybe just that people had been out for lunch instead. The sharing dessert was very good.”
“Was there yesterday really nice food will be going again definitely”
“We took some friends here as we had been previously and had an amazing experience and time, so thought we would share with some more friends who travelled from Stoke on Trent. We were all absolutely delighted and the staff team delivered outstanding customer service, we were met and greeted by Leah and Natasha who are lovely ladies and what great senses of humour! Guy, Harry and the Chef Jay and Ahmed took exceptional care of the 6 of us. The menu has an excellent array of choices and we had deep fried onion rings and cheesy garlic bread the best we’ve ever tasted. The Bacon chop, cottage pie and chicken parmigiana were quite simply delicious and excellent value for money and we all tried something different and we all agreed it was worth the journey from Stoke on Trent. One of our group bought some chocolates as we were leaving but they were gone by the time we arrived home! Thanks to Guy and the team who made our visit perfect nothing was too much trouble and they all went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed! We shall definitely be back! An outstanding customer service experience in such an iconic setting we shall definitely return!”
“We visited this morning and tried breakfasts. The best taste ever we tried in the UK so far. Presentation and quality are good and match the price. Coffees are a big surprise. We love it. Will try the lunch dishes next time. The only thing that needs to be mentioned is the music, too loud.”
“Lovely lady when above and beyond to serve us. Went in as she was closing up for the day, she till took her time to welcome us and give us food options. It’s a shame to hear her business will be closing soon. Wish you the best for your future.”
“We've been here twice. Didn't recognise the place this time as it's been done up. Lovely beer, great staff, and a nice friendly atmosphere. Very close to the train station, too.”
“My son's to go to cafe for baby chino and cake, they do amazing superfood salad boxes ”
“We always come to the Bulls Head when we’re celebrating as you can always guarantee a friendly welcome, excellent food and amazing service. Love it when Amanda serves us - she’s so friendly and always remembers us and she’s very attentive. Would recommend the Bulls Head to anyone - my favourite place to eat!”
“Lovely Sunday roast. Lovely and hot and fresh. Nice atmosphere. Nice traditional pub. Music in background good too, from era i like. Too many pubs have rappy loud unintelligible music that isn't conducive to relaxing. 80s music best in my opinion. Definitely recommend, this fun local pub.”
“Called in here for a quick pint on Thursday evening. Good choice of beers at reasonable prices and had live music. A proper pub, cheese and onion cobs available !! We have to keep the independent pubs going by visiting them, use or lose.”
“Second time eating here in the past month and both times the food has been amazing. Staff are polite and helpful and the venue has been tastefully refurbished. Our new favourite place to eat. Tha you all.”
“Asda Driver here, have been delivering to these guys for years and they always take care of their drivers by offering them a hot drink which is greatly appreciated especially during the colder weathers. Staff are really friendly too. I think it's about time I visit this place as a customer and not a delivery drop off guy and what better time than the festive season? Merry Christmas No. 18”
“Amazing historic building in Tamworth. So great to see it back to life after so long. Great staff, Kieren at the bar was super friendly and helpful. A must see!”
“Food and service were excellent. Welcoming and friendly to my family.”
“Great pub with great food and excellent service. Lovely ambience and atmosphere here. The food was outstanding. Lovely flavours and texture. The dessert was a standout. Absolutely lovely cheesecake. All homemade fresh food and you can taste the difference. Will be back soon.”
“The Dog Inn was recommended by another pub landlord as they were not offering food and the recommendation was on the nose. The food at the Dog Inn is exceptional. We went for a ate afternoon meal on a Friday so there were a number of patrons, however the service was quick and polite. They offer a standard menu as you would expect, with a specials board as well as a pasta of the week and soup of the day. We opted for the latter 2 options as they were Chicken and Chorizo bake and a mixed vegetable soup (which the waitress advised was very nice and the staff we all having it!). Both were absolutely exquisite. The soup was a large portion server with 3 slices of crusty bread and ample butter, which was more than enough for my fiance. Whilst the pasta was equal parts beautifully cooked pasta shells and protein, all loving topped with a thick layer of cheese and server with 3 pieces of homemade crusty garlic bread. All of this (2 meals) and 3 drink between us cost just under £30 total so it it also extremely good value for money. The pub itself is beautifully presented, with ample indoor seating spread across a number of rooms, outdoor seating to the left and rear of the premises, wrap around parking and guest rooms.”
“Proper pub. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good choice of beers and gins. Food is not always available, but sometimes there are cobs. Crisps are on offer.”
“Absolutely fantastic old fashioned pub. Great staff, great live music, great atmosphere. Get there early if you want a seat”
“This is a delightful spot that perfectly blends artistic charm with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The decor is truly a highlight, featuring an impressive collection of paintings and artwork that adds character and inspiration to the space. The warm lighting enhances the cozy atmosphere, creating a perfect balance between comfort and style. We tried the hot drinks, and they were all excellent—great quality at a decent price. Whether you're there for a quiet drink or a meal, the chilled environment makes it an ideal retreat.”
“Quiet when we went on a Monday afternoon. Lovely beer garden with enough shade to protect customers from the hot sun. Toilet facilities are really nice. Pub gets really busy at weekends and evenings, so be prepared to stand and wait for a while to be served. Excellent Real ale selection. Dog friendly in bar area and beer garden.”
