Not impressed with the food. Toad in the hole with mash and peas, carrots and gravy. The only good part was the sausage and yorkshire pudding. The mash wasnt fresh as texture was hard, had been re-warmed in the microwave (could hear it pinging all the time) peas were tinned and the worst was the gravy, it was coloured water. There was no taste at all in the dish. The vegetarian version was the same all tasteless. The jumbo fish fingers and chips had no fish taste either, hard on outside, chips were hard too, not cooked through. Advertising for a new chef outside, I think they need one. The best part of the whole experience was when we left!

Today we visited the Minster Coffee Shop for a bite to eat and were not disappointed. Upon entering, we were greeted with smiles by a friendly young lady. We asked if we could sit in the lovely garden out back, which was no problem at all, and we were shown to our seats. The food was lovely, arrived quickly, and was very reasonably priced. A very pleasant experience overall , weβll definitely be recommending it to others

Went for the Sunday roast. It was just ok, meet was quite dry to be honest. Restaurant prices for cafe style food. Β£1.50 for a small glass of squash is robbery. Service was great though - very friendly. Prices need reviewing or at least add some cheaper options to the menu. 3/5.

Lovely spot, great service, had a sausage and egg roll. Nice roll but sausage was of the budget variety (Packington pork up the road?) would have been happy to pay more for better quality meat

Disappointed. Visited Sun 12 Feb 2023. Cash only. Inconvenient for customers in 2023. Easy for businesses to set this up even if you pass cost on to customer. Makes me suspicious when companies make it cash only Waitress didn't know which drinks were Pepsi standard or diet, left it for us to work out. Ordered 2 Sunday dinners, chicken and pork. Served turkey by mistake. Waitress get them swapped. Every item was bland, lacked flavour or seasoning. Even the gravy! Based on cash only, mixed service and bland food would not go back. Shame as always support local businesses over franchises

Came across this place when passing by. Needed a quick lunch. Small breakfast, toasted sandwich and coffees. Small building but enough space for each table. Mixture of snacks, sandwiches, breakfasts, main meals and even alcoholic drinks.

Came here on Monday with my mom as a treat as we used to frequent it years ago. Initially, loved the place. Drink was lovely, and bought back positive memories. Disappointed however to see a dog in the place. Believe it was the owners but considering weβd purchased food that was being severed to us as the dog was only feet away, it felt quite gross and unhygienic. Food was a mixed bag. Bacon, mushrooms, tomatoe and beans were bloody excellent. However, toast was undercooked. Sausage wasnβt great and was far too greasy. The egg tasted as if itβd been off and was really unpleasant. Mom unfortunately had a really bad experience and ended up needing a bathroom as soon as weβd left and I ended up with a bout of food poisoning thatβs lasted until yesterday evening. Really sad because we loved this place but between that and the fact our meal came to Β£21, really horrified to see the state itβs come to. Wouldnβt recommend to anyone and hope this place actually lives up to its 5 star status

Absolute gem of a place! Real home cooked food with fresh ingredients. Small independent old school establishment. I opted for a roast dinner which was delicious, others had toasties, everyone was happy. Oh almost forgot to mention the coffee is so good!

Lovely little find. Superb food and huge pot of tea. Very good choice. Friendly staff and clearly printed menu which is important for my friend and I as we are visually impaired. The only do the toilets were upstairs and the staircase wound round towards the top. She said they were extremely clean and nice but I wouldnβt have been able to manage that due to disability. I would definitely return
