Christmas Day meal. The soup was nice and fresh but I was Very disappointed with the main meal, it was barely warm.it looked as though it had been there a while, rather than putting the vegetables out in 2 bowls for it to just sit there, they should change it frequently so it looks fresh and hot. Came away very disappointed. This was our 3rd Christmas meal, but we won’t be eating there next Christmas

Donna our waitress was extremely helpful and provided incredible service. The food was nice and staff interaction was appreciated. Id like to add thanks to Donna for making our experience enjoyable. Definitely be coming back soon!

I’m a delivery driver and every visit to this Toby Carvery has been a disappointing experience. Whenever I come to collect an order, I’m left waiting for a long time with no acknowledgement from anyone. Staff walk past, ignore me and never bother to check on the order or even say a simple hello. It genuinely feels like delivery drivers don’t matter here. There is also one female staff member (mid-20s) who makes the situation even worse. She never speaks, never offers any help and instead just gives dirty, unwelcoming looks every time I’m there. It feels uncomfortable and completely unprofessional. On top of all this, I’ve had to deal with racist abuse from customers while waiting inside, and not a single member of staff stepped in or offered support. No reassurance, no apology, nothing. Standing there alone in that moment honestly felt like the staff didn’t care, and at times it even felt like they quietly shared the same attitude, judging by the lack of concern shown. For a busy family restaurant, you’d expect some level of respect, empathy and basic humanity — especially towards delivery drivers who help keep their business running. Sadly, that’s not the case here. Every visit is stressful, disrespectful and draining, and I now dread collecting from this branch.

Homely, welcoming, lovely place to drop in for food. Staff are great and are always friendly. Nothing is too big an ask. Big shout out to Amy and Sam who are in mine and my families opinion our favourite staff members. It can get very busy in there so book if you can to avoid being turned away. Food is fresh well stocked and hot as you come to expect. An excellent Toby, definitely recommend.

After arriving a good 40 minutes before our booking time the staff were still able to get us seated. Great food, and the non carvery items were served promptly after ordering. Will definitely revisit

Good staff generally but they did try to get you out the door after two hours (the place was empty). The food was lovely (carvery) and not very expensive. I only had tea and coffee so I can not talk about other drinks but no one complained in our group so that must be a good thing, but I did think both the tea and coffee let the side down. Both were bland and weak. These are small problems and easily fixed. Over all I'd give it a high eight with ten being excellent. I will go again.

My brother and myself went for the first time to this location. We both had the carvery, meat was cooked beautifully, the beef melted in your mouth, great choice of vegetables, which was followed by a lovely dessert each. We were looked after by very friendly staff, as my brother is deaf/non verbal, this was much appreciated. I have been to my local carvery a few times and although this one was a far distance from my Brother's carehome I will definitely take him there again. If you want a good meal in pleasant surroundings this is the place to go

Roast potatoes weren't cooked and very dry, the sprouts tasted of ammonia. All the other veg were overcooked, however, the Yorkshire pudding was good. The restaurant gets extremely busy and noisy. The staff were very pleasant.

normally go around 6 pm, but arrived just after 2pm. the waitress was very pleasant and attentive. food was lovely and fresh and beautifully cooked so pleased that there was a slight tinge of pink to the beef. would have been 5 stars but the ladies toilet nearest the food was out of order and a sign on the desk would have been helpful that and the cubicle doors need completely replacing.
