   Literally hands down the best caribbean food in birmingham! the vibes are so chilled and so friendly. was taken care of from start to finish. the staff literally can’t do enough for you. if your coming try the cocktails…they blow your head off. will definitely be returning and can’t wait to see the new premises! Selena you and the rest of the staff are what make this place.

   Travelled from Cardiff for a FA Cup match, read the reviews & decided to book a table. Anita welcomed us and the service was incredible. Our food was faultless & a lovely pint of red stripe. Cannot fault it this place, 4 very happy customers! Thankyou!!

   Staff really friendly and welcoming and are more than happy to explain how everything works. Cocktails nicely balanced and affordable and I found the food to be the same. My friend and I had wanted to try this place for a while now and it did not disappoint. We will be back again soon!

   The timing on food was long! And then we had to wait for the rice and peas to cook.. once we got the food some of it came cold. Some of the food I believed need to be well more seasoned. there weren’t no sauces. However, the restaurant was nice and clean & their staff were nice!

   PART 2 OF 2 FROM Charmian B The Mac and Cheese which we had been looking forward to particularly based on social media posts was unfortunately awful. It had no flavour, any cheese that may have been added was now non existent, it had dried up and was stone cold. I would go as far as to say it was the worst Mac and Cheese I've ever seen/tasted. Even the chef acknowledged this to be factual and said he had discussed with management numerous times that keeping it warm/hot was not a suitable option for this type of dish. To add insult the gravy to accompany the meal was a meat based reduction of the roast lamb juices so my 2 fellow guests couldn't have any additional gravy on their meals. All in all the whole experience was a let down for us all in one way or another. I commend Jermaine for trying to appease us and offer sincere apologies, however there were a number of what I consider to be 'excuses' provided that we as customers didn't need to know and shouldn't have been privy to. Based on last nights experience I would not come back nor would any of my 3 fellow guests and I unfortunately wouldn't recommend this venue to others in my circle. I will reiterate that although my meal was cold, the plantain and roast potatoes were little to nothing left and the mac and cheese was 'bad' the remainder of the food tasted good, had it been served hot and the temperature of the bar been nice, warm and cosy I would have been in a position to give a higher star rating. I can't speak for my fellow 2 guests but I know that they ate what was offered out of sheer hunger and the fact we had other plans pre booked directly afterwards and they needed to have eaten. I ask the management to consider the contents of my review and receive it with the intention that it has been written, in that I hope you're able to implement a number of improvements at the venue from a customer service perspective, value for money, temperate of food, food option availability, ambient internal temperate especially on freezing evenings.
