Service dreadful, lots of staff just stood chatting away, not clearing tables. Forgetting things. Sauces etc. Blonde curly haired woman in her own world. It's simple... any sauces with you're breakfast. Do you want you're drinks now or with you're meal. How is you're meal so far, very simple things. Won't be returning.

A lovely traditional farm shop cafe . Great service from friendly helpful staff. The breakfast is lovely and can definitely recommend breakfast or lunch. The farm shop is also recommended for meat and bakery.

What a lovely find! We were welcomed with a smile and offered a choice of sitting inside or out. It was only 9am, but people were already arriving, always a good sign of a popular spot. We chose to sit inside, which had a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Our order was taken promptly by Sophie, who was so personable and friendly. When the food arrived, it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back. We also visited the farm shop and bought the mixed meat pack – great value for money. We haven’t tried the contents yet as they went straight into the freezer, but I’ll post another review at a later date once we have. Thank you.

Chaos ! How not to run cafe seating and ordering … lovely staff but frankly they need training … left standing at the door whilst one staff member taking table orders and another having a personal chat with staff at the till … food very good quality although the bacon was considerably overcooked the black pudding has a peculiar taste I suspect trying to be fancy … £1.50 for fried bread really !!! If not for these issues it would be five stars Ps great cake selection ! Ignore the ranting idiot (NIMBY) about them selling land for housing I suspect they would have had they had it and we desperately need houses !!!!

This is one of Huddersfield's jewels and a true Yorkshire rose. A clean, comfortable and friendly farmhouse cafe where unadulterated fresh farm food of the highest quality is served unassumingly. Breakfast, lunches and light snacks are served with hot and cold drinks including beers. All the food is home made. The ambience is warm, relaxed and cosy ensuring a regular local following. There is farmshop next door and a working farm.

Excellent little find.Clean, tidy and busy. Always a good sign. I didn't know what to have for this evening's dinner and whilst driving home this afternoon I saw this farm shop. Called in and bought some leeks, red potatoes, pork, maple and chilli sausage and a few apples (which were itemised as grapes but soon rectified, ha ha ha). Dinner was sorted this evening with just those few ingredients and some store cupboard additions from home.... A Bangers, 2 lentil and butter bean mash pie with green beans and baby carrots. Will definitely be coming here again.

Went here for lunch today, there was 4 of us. Two of us ordered afternoon tea which looked great, different savoury and sweet options. The remaining two ordered a veggie Yorkshire wrap and the Cuban stack sandwich. These were also both really substantial lunches and really tasty. We had a selection of hot drinks which were all good quality. Service was really friendly and, although there was a bit of a wait, we didn't mind as it was reassuringly busy. Nice farm shop cafe ambience and looking forward to going back in to try out some of the other menu options and the farm shop

The wife and I stopped for lunch here purely by chance and would struggle to fault it. The service was a bit slow but unsurprising given that we ordered beef dinners. Personally I would prefer to wait for something that has been well cooked rather than your all too common reheated offerings. There was also a very nice array of cakes that would test your self control. If there was a fault i would suggest they could be trying to hard, my ice cream banana milk shake came nicely presented with chocolate sauce - I don't like chocolate sauce. Fortunately for them I hate waste even more otherwise I would have sent it back. The farm shop is very small but I did notice that it seemed to do a reasonable trade.

Called into the Farm Shop for the first time after driving past for the last 10 years or so. Butcher was very friendly and the bacon and sausage were both great quality. The cooked beef however was so over cooked it literally crumbled in my hands when trying to make a sandwich - was like eating dust. I know some people like their beef well done but I'm sure a rare beef option would also sell very well.
