Santa Breakfast: Our experience was very poor, there was a distinct lack of organisation and a poor quality of service. We had previously booked a table for 14 people (paid upfront for 5 children). There was not a table set large enough for our party, the young showed me around and just pointed in the direction of the tables, I had to go back to the bar to ask again. There were no breakfast menus and when I asked they said we printed them but can not find them, so I again asked what we could order, no one knew. The coffee machine was broken, the lad trying to fix it was rude and argumentative. Once we ordered some food then adult breakfasts came out 15 minutes before the children's (which had been pre ordered) so we did not eat as a family. Very poor service, the girls bringing the food out did not know what was happening. Eventually we were offered a free cup of tea as the hot drinks machine was still not working.Santa was okay, a lack of interaction with the children and when he finally gave the children. A selection box, he ran out before handing them all out. The icing for the biscuits was like water and there were not enough toppings for the number of children and when we asked staff it was a hindrance for them to help us. The tables were not set properly, some had crackers some did not. The only good things, the food was served hot just not as a table. The children lost interest due to poor organisation. Definitely would not recommend this event and will not be returning. Also a lack of responsibility of who was in charge on the day.

The Land Oak would be a brilliant family pub if the food was good, but it isn't. My family gave up coming here a while ago, but decided to give it another chance after a recent refurbishment. It looks excellent on the inside, with the bar and family dining areas seperated by a door, keeping the noise out. While the menu has been re-printed, it is largely unchanged and the quality remains dubious, with the prices too high for what you get. We waited about 45 minutes to be served (they were far from at capacity on a weekday), only for the food to be underwhelming and a mac and cheese made one of our party ill later that day. I feel for the bar and waiting staff, who are very friendly and deserve better than the much more unpleasant feedback they recieve from other customers. They can come to take away plates with an apologetic smile. If you are looking for somewhere to have a drink, watch sports on the big TV's or play darts/pool, then the Land Oak is great. If you want a meal, go elsewhere.

Though the staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was ok, the whole experience of food and ordering was poor. Nobody checked if we wanted table service so we had a to use the 'app' which is just a terribly designed website with every menu item in a single scrolling list! Roasts were listed as 'out of stock' but plenty of later customers were able to order these so they clearly weren't. The steak and ale pie was undercooked and it took 40 minutes to bring out the desert I ordered, it wasn't that busy. A poor experience all around.

Staff were very nice and an enjoyable atmosphere but the food was not up to standard. The chicken was missing from the mixed grill but with how tough and chewie the meat was, we didn't bother to ask for the chicken. Fish and burger were okay but not memorable or enough to want to come back and eat here again unfortunately.

Wow .. you smashed it Landoak. Beautifully redesigned clean homely interior with ambient lighting and music. Food was fabulous, good quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, professional and had a can do attitude. I cannot praise you enough, highly recommend to all reading this.

We were a party of 11, eating on a Sunday lunch, when the Land Oak was quite busy. Nearby were a party of around 20 , who ordered just before us, so we probably had a slightly longer wait for our food than normal. However the wait was worth it, as all the meals were excellent, food was well presented and hot. The staff are pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Land Oak, this was our first visit for quite a few years, as its not local for us, but we will be going more often now.

It was brilliant, popped in because we were in the area on the way home and were hungry. The food was perfect and a big portion size in my opinion and the drinks had extra fruits thrown in as and when they should do. A young girl served us around 5pm ish on 20/8/22 and her service was fast and efficient with a lovely customer manner. Glad I popped in there 10/10

The land oak is a nice pub, the decor is nice and all the tables were clean. The waitress was very efficient, and took our orders promptly. We ordered a sirloin steak and a pizza. The steak could of been a bit more tender, but it was still good. The portion sizes was also good as I was stuffed after. The pizza was a nice stone baked one, my partner liked it. I thought this meal was good value for money.
