Service has taken a downturn over the last year. Was a decent boozer on a match day but now the service is very slow and the options for beer not brilliant either.
Good pub with a decent range of drinks. For real ale drinkers there is Bathams Best and a usually something from Wye Valley - typically HPA. Plenty of lager and Modri. Also a pool table. Good for watching football, with several TV screens, and for a pre or post match drink. It's under the main stand of Harriers FC and is the only pub I know which has a door with a sign "players and coaching staff only".
Good staff, good choice of drinks but it's a bit clinical looking,bare walls and nothing to suggest that it is a football club with a magnificent past history in non league football .

In after the game very tasty beef cobs with a few harriers pale ale to round off the day after the game. Warm an inviting with clean tables to eat from, there or your own with permission.
Called in for a quick drink on our way home. The place smelt, the tables hadn't been cleaned properly. Rubbish over the floor. Used to be a regular place to have a drink but it's gone down hill since it's been taken over.
