   We drove to The Eagle in Cookley to watch the Morris dancing for new year's day. The dancing was fantastic, however my reason for this low rating was the service. We ordered the drinks, two alcoholic and one coffee. The alcoholic drinks were delivered fairly sharpish, however we were waiting quite some time for the coffee. I know it may be an unusual request to order a hot non alcoholic beverage in a public house however we have done this before and therefore didn't anticipate a problem. After ten minutes of waiting we asked the young gentleman with a buzz cut if the coffee was on his way. He said it was so we continued to wait with patience, acknowledging that we were missing the dancing outside yet somehow content in the knowledge that others were enjoying it, which we could gather from the occasional loud yelps and rhythmic clapping coming from outside. After another fifteen minutes and having finished our alcoholic beverages we asked how long the coffee would be and were given the surly response of 'Dunno' from the gentleman with the buzz cut. We then asked for a refund as we had come for the dancing not to prop up the bar watching pints of fosters being pulled. The young girl behind the bar was very polite and gave us a swift refund so we could exit and watch the remaining 5 minutes before driving 30 minutes back home.

   Nice pub very friendly compared to the other local near by, not much signal out here so at least the pub has free wifi. Really nice drinks 5+ stars great drinks & food looked great. Outdoor are designed great. Young bar staff run the pub very well.

   Really smart & tastefully decorated gastro pub. Very friendly staff. Wide mixture of patrons which made a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

   Called in for the Sunday Roast lunch and cannot fault it or the service in there. Seating area was clean and comfortable. Table service was excellent without being intrusive and ensured we had sauces or gravy needed. All cooked and tasted excellent. Dessert was also tried which complimented the meal. Sat for a while afterwards to enjoy a refreshment or 2. Very pleasant atmosphere to be in. Would definitely recommend and call in quite a few times.
