Lovely place to come for coffee & food. Great portion sizes, and the coffee was so good. There’s quite a bit of seating inside and out. They do have outdoor heaters but staff explained that sometimes they don’t work. So lovely to be sat watching people walk by. Dog friendly too.

100% recommend this beautiful restaurant. We were welcomed at the door by a lovely lady, shown to our table and given as much time as we needed to decide on what to order. I really fancied an Italian dish so I ordered the "spaghetti funghi" I asked the chef if I could add chicken to my dish and garlic and he was more than happy to accommodate. I even changed the spaghetti to penne without an issue as it was what I fancied. He told me all meals are made fresh so I can have anything I want to my taste. It was amazing! My Mum ordered "Chicken Penne" and thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion sizes are huge for the money! Absolute bargain. We were given a basket of bread and butter potions to start and that was delicious! Coffee was delicious! The service was 10/10. Very happy, attentive staff members and a lovely clean setting. We will certainly be back for more!

This place is amazing, the place is beautiful, the staff are lovely and accommodating, and even better the food is great too. I was in search in Hebden for a cheese and bean toastie and my friends were looking for other bits and bobs to eat, we found this place and they had ciabatta but I didn’t love the options (especially because I can’t eat meat) but I asked the waitress and she said it was okay to substitute meat for baked beans so I had cheese and beans, I was so happy they accommodated me. The staff were also lovely and I had a good chat with the lady at the till. Very good food, a little expensive but you can definitely see the quality and the work they’ve put into the place.

Was on the lookout for a decent fry up and first place I found was Cafe Mijo. Quick check of the reviews confirmed it was due to be a good experience. Glad I went in. Friendly staff and tasty breakfast! Sorted me out good and proper for the day ahead.

Absolutely beautiful cafe - lovely warm atmosphere, comfy seats, great view out onto Hebden's main square. Very friendly, accommodating staff who are more than happy to help and chat! Great food too - nice selection of hot food, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes etc. Very good value too for such a gorgeous place - £28 for two meals and two drinks.

Visited Mijo before but this is the first time I have thought to leave a review (sorry!) I had a mocha which was beautiful, just the right amount of chocolate and coffee - the perfect balance! I returned later in the day for my lunch and had cheese and onion pie, mash, gravy and peas and it was delicious and piping hot! I brought my dog too and was made to feel really welcome. Will be returning next time in Hebden. Thank you x

Awesome full English, good vegan and vegetarian options. Dogs enjoyed their sausages. Had a laugh with the friendly staff. Excellent spot to people watch. We're becoming regulars!

Decided to pop in on bank holiday Monday as I've walked past numerous times before and it seems very popular. The food was fine. It wasn't reinventing the wheel but was perfectly edible and there was a good variety of food on the menu. Sadly the service and cleanliness of the cafe let it down. The cafe was slightly busy (bank holiday so many people visit hebden) and there were 5 members of waitressing/barista staff. Despite there being many people working the tables weren't being cleaned or wiped down between customers so were filthy as was the floor where people had spilled or dropped food. There were numerous points through our visit when a lot of the staff were just stood milling about and not doing anything so lack of time to clean wasn't a factor. If you've time to chat and mess about on your phone you can wipe a table. There were 2 members of staff who seemed very pleasant and seemed to be rushed off their feet yet the rest were very abrupt with people and it very much came across like it was an inconvenience for them to serve us. I felt really bad for the 2 working so hard.
