Overall very nice place for a coffee and a snack. Food quality good, though for the price the scone was a little small as was the tea cake - tasty, but I question value for money on the food. The drinks were very nice and a good variety to choose from.

Right! This store has a serious branding issue! It doesnβt know what it is. From the outside, I didnβt know what to expect and possibly it wasnβt too cold to sit outside, I wouldnβt have come in. But the food is a different story! Seriously! The toasted sandwich is amazing! Nice ciabatta bread, decent roast chicken and not the pre-cooked packed in plastic bag chicken breast used by a lot of places. The portion is decent, the flavour was great and the atmosphere inside was very nice! The staff were lovely and helpful. I will definitely come back because thereβre more sandwiches I want to try! This place is truly a gem. To the manager, you are not tapping on your own storeβs potential. You can do better.

Went to York for a day , the weather was lovely & we wanted to try one of Yorkβs tea room . This place is lovely , clean & cosy The staff were young & very polite , served us our hot drinks and cakes straight away . They have a good range of delicious cakes . Their cakes are healthy , most are vegan with minimum cream or sugary toppings

Was torn between giving this cool place 3 or 4βοΈ. Ultimately it was the price of what we had that made me only give it 3. Here's why.We had a pot of tea,an Oreo hot chocolate and a slice of cake....We didn't get any change out Β£17!!!.However,that said. The place was lovely and cosy. The decor was inviting and we 100%couldn't fault the service BUT,just a little too expensive for what we had.

Gorgeous little coffee shop right near the Shambles Market, and the perfect place to escape a cold York afternoon and warm yourself with a hot beverage. The Bailey's hot chocolate really hit the spot, and my partner really enjoyed his bacon and brie toastie. The vibe is cosy and perfect for parties of 2, but seating is limited at lunchtime, especially for parties any larger than 4. Many parties of 3 or more were getting turned away or split over multiple tables.

Stopped here for a coffee and a sandwich, the wife had a ploughman's sandwich and I had a ham and tomato sandwich with two coffee's. Β£27 which is in my opinion ridiculous, the food was excellent but very very overpriced, great location friendly staff and an overall nice place ,but take a loan put before you pay.

Not great to be honest, sausage sandwich for Β£4.95 which I only ate the bread bun because the sausages were that bad! Tasted like cheap mush, my coffee also tasted like it had salt inside it. The cafe itself was dirty & grubby. Not impressed waste of money.

Cute little cafe. Had the African wrap (i think it was called) had chicken, feta, avocado and other stuff in. Got lots of doritos on the side. The others in my group had date and walnut scones which they said were very good. Good location.

Nice little friendly coffee shop. Not many gluten free options, but their scones and coffee were very tasty.

A lovely place to stop and have a brew and a cake Came here with my wife to get out of the rain and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not normally a cafe goer but I really liked the quiet and relaxed vibe this place gave off. The staff are nice and pleasant and the prices are good. There is a surprising amount of choice on the menu from burritos to cakes. I had the carrot cake (which was bloody delicious) and a pot of tea and my wife had an Iced tea and a fruit scone. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quiet place to relax after a busy day shopping and sight seeing in york
