   On your way round NewmillerDam you will come across the boathouse on the lakeside that is a fresh, well run little pit stop. Great Coffee and treats, everything inside looks to be locally sourced. The girls that worked here are very polite and hard working. Inside is clean and the views you get are incredible. Only downside is that its a bit expensive on the food side for what it is, toasties here are around the 8 quid mark and nobody should be paying that price for 2 slices of bread with some cheese etc no matter how well presented they are. I would 100% reccomend here for a cuppa on your way past though!

   Lets start with location, beautiful in the middle of the lake. Staff, AMAZING, all the girls very polity, quick service and very friendly. In the past week we visit 4 times. Food: the chocolate cake was the best cake we ever had, moist, light and not too sweet. Amazing. Atmosphere, relaxing and perfect for wind down after a busy day.

   Lovely walk from car park through woods, around lake. Nice stop off at boathouse cafe along the way. Disappointed to see so much litter everywhere, there are many signs telling people to take their rubbish home, but it appears that many people can't read or believe this does apply to them

   Nice little pit stop on a walk around the lake. Do eat in or out and take away. Perfect little menu for a snack, cake or light lunch. Drinks were excellent the Mrs is very fussy about her coffee and drank it all. Nice to sit by the lake in a sheltered spot. Have to say the young ladies who work there are extremely pleasant and friendly although may talk you into one of their specials which was pancakes on the day we visited. Called in again. Nice sandwich and a coffee. Need to do scones but some nice cakes available

   Nice little coffee shop on the lake. Does excellent meals . Plenty of seating actually inside and out. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff. After an afternoon walk around the lake and woods,this place is excellent to relax and enjoy the views. Keep up the good work

   Lovely stop off for lunch here today! The interior has been beautifully put together. It’s dog friendly with plenty of space between each table for our pooch to sit. Plenty of choice for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Lovely coffee and good lunch. Very reasonably priced. There is a toilet which is accessed via a code. Will be back again on our next dog walk.

   We stopped here to have a coffee. It was £6.00 for two take away coffees. The cafe is dog friendly both inside and outside. There are toilets which are for customers of the cafe only and have a combination code to enter. It was quite busy today and we had to wait a little while to be served and for the coffee to be prepared. Drinks were lovely. The boathouse is in a beautiful location, it's so peaceful. What an amazing little stone built building to spend an hour of your time whilst enjoying life.
