Oh my goodness but this place could do with a makeover. Bit off-putting being served by someone with food all round their mouths.
Always an amazing place to visit, whether having food (which is amazing), or drinks, ice cream or snacks there is always a friendly welcome and service is quite quick. Well worth the visit, even better sitting in the sun.
would be a lovely place if the staff were more friendly. every time i have been the girl with the long hair up in a ponytail is so miserable and rude.Does not seem to want to serve any one and never smiles. Think she would be more suited to being a security guard some were. not a pleasant girl at all.
Seems to be very disorganised. Came two days ago for a hot drink. Waited at outside counter for what seemed ages no one serving. Went inside but only one young lad taking ages to make one cup of coffee. Told to go back to wait outside again. Finally he did serve but then told to go to inside to collect the tea and put own milk in. Today visited again. They again said go inside to collect. We reported a faulty toilet which was fu to the brim but they weren't interested said it's not us it's the council..... Seemed to be very quick to get tables wiped and get closed up quickly.
Amazing absolutely amazing ice creams and cuppa tea great price beautiful surroundings amazing staff clean comfy cafe and top staff felt lovely and safe being inside this little cafe my fav place in Chesterfield my second time here in 2 years. Love the surrounding area and the park the cafe is just beyond amazing over 10 stars love the lady who served us. Very down to earth polite and informative helpful friendly and just lovely. I will be back here to this cafe so spacious inside and so clean
Always a joy & free to look around Queens Park seeing the trees every changing landscape and its beauty we're every you look, there is council cut backs? there's a lot of boarder work to be done, it's not just cutting grass they have a good 4 months to get the work done (I was paid gardener for over 20 years) I used the toilets today my mobility scooter was to big? but I had my special key they clean tidy (very good) inside the toilet building we're photos on the walls have a look at my photos.
Great location, building and set up however it feels as though the management have no interest in providing good service and quality food. Its expensive, with poor service and low quality. The only reason it does well is where it is. Fredrick's should sort it out, or give someone else the chance to make a go of it. Seems to me all they are interested in are the takings.
