   We were out on a work do and were served drinks by Gracie. She was absolutely lovely , so welcoming, chatty, and friendly with me and my friend. Even though it was busy, she made time for everyone and really stood out. We’ll definitely be back :)

   You feel like you are going back in time when you walk through the door. From a rather inconspicuous entrance stairway you descend into an old storage cellar - which must been many hundreds of years old. Strangely for a slightly hidden away front door- it's always quite busy and welcoming. Greene King have owned it for a while, so the normal crowd pleasers for beer and food. Staff are lovely and enjoy working there. A nice place to quietly pass the time. Just be aware, being underground there is no phone signal and the Wifi is really bad, the only downside. But to be fair, the original designers probably didn't anticipate mobile phone addicts when it was originally built

   Found this great historic pub today and this place is really lovely and actually quite stunning inside we never had food here but just a quick drink but what a find. I would definitely recommend going just see inside and if I wasn't travelling would have happily stayed longer.

   Come in today for lunch while visiting York. Great pub with friendly servers and great food. We sat outside in the garden and they were dog friendly and even provide bowls and water. Inside the pub looked great being in the cellars. Would definitely recommend and return

   Brilliant place to eat and drink. I went here with my family and we had food from the lunch menu. We ordered both alcoholic drinks and some J2Os. The toilets were easily accessible and central, although there were only 2 female toilets and not very clean. Beautiful scenery and lovely setting, with it being an old railway place. Would recommend and come again :)
