We called in on the off-chance for Sunday Lunch and were lucky enough to get a table. The initial impression was good, as was the availability of Timothy Taylors Landlord and a good wine selection. The food took around 40 minutes to arrive and although it was OK, it could have done with being a bit warmer. The gravy arrived in small jugs, mine being barely a third full. Although "limitless gravy" is offered, this resulted in around 6 gravy boats on the table, which felt unnecessary. The biggest disappointment was the cauliflower cheese. £4.25 for four florets, no evidence of a cheese sauce and it was stone cold. I decided not to say anything as I didn't want to have a replacement side dish arrive after my fellow diners had finished. Other reviews refer to cold food and long wait times, so perhaps an area to focus on? All the staff were friendly and efficient and a special mention to Julyan, who did his best in challenging circumstances. As I went to pay the bill, he was working alone behind the bar on a Sunday lunchtime. What was a distinctly average and slightly disappointing experience could have been some much better, with a little more attention in the kitchen. I had intended to write a review on the website shown on my receipt, but guestsurvey.co.uk is currently down for maintenance.

Beautiful food and great service. I had the 'Beef & Chianti Casserole' for my main, some of the nicest food I've had in a long while! Can't wait to go back.

Had a fantastic lunch with my family. We always enjoy our time at roundhay fox. The pudding I ordered was fantastic!! All edible including the flowers and flower pot which was made of chocolate. Service was quick and served with a smile we will definatley be back again.

First look at the venu, it looks amazing nice little family pub. However the floor was disgusting. I ordered a full meal whereas my friend only ordered sides yet my main arrived first and she had to wait a further 10 minutes. My pie didn't have much filling and one of the meals the burger was cold and onion rings were burnt both times. Highlight that the manager apologized and gave us discounts for the bad food and the halloumi fries were fantastic.

Service 5/5- Great staff Venue 4/5 - Our high chair, and neighbouring tables pram touching. Tables too close/small/uncomfortable. Food 3/5 - Starters nice, Sunday dinner average-Broccoli raw, potatoes spongy and sticky, reheated badly, Turkey and Belly pork dry. The steak was lovely and trio beef was ok. Cauliflower cheese, didnt taste cheesy at all, likely packet produced.

Really good Sunday dinner. I had the roast trio and loved it. Was there for 3 hours and never got offered a drink after the initial drinks which was a bit disappointing but food was fab.
