I first went to Prelude 5 years ago as the mother of the groom when I was given a very special experience and bought a dress and jacket that made me feel fantastic. I went back today to find an outfit to wear to Buckingham Palace. This time I am 2 dress sizes larger and was very anxious about the whole thing. I needn't have worried I was made to feel very 'normal' and was give a huge range of outfits to try. The owner spent time adding accessories to achieve the final effect, She did not pressurise me to purchase anything and certainly not the most expensive outfit. She guided me away from certain outfits that were not as good on me as others and even though it was late in the day I did not feel hurried. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough if you are looking for an honest opinion and a positive experience.

As the mother of the groom I have just had the easiest experience of shopping for an outfit. The staff were incredibly helpful and guided me to outfits that I would never had chosen by myself, all of which were more flattering than I could have imagined. The staff encouraged me to try outfit after outfit to find what suited me and came up with ideas for accessories that were just perfect. What I found most refreshing was that If an outfit was not flattering they would give me their honest opinion. I would certainly recommend this shop to anyone looking for clothes for a special occasion.
