   I don't go out of my way to add reviews for pubs. But this place is worth every single star of the five I gave it. I walked past at 5pm, saw some questionable clientele outside and thought sod that I'll go elsewhere. When I came back at 9pm, I thought sod it, I'll give it a go. I've literally just left three hours later. Been on my own, and enjoyed all the time in there. Good atmosphere, safe environment to the point i felt comfortable leaving my pint and knowing nowt would happen, and great music on a Friday night. The beers are amazing, the manager running it takes so much pride in the hand pulls, and they are some of the best kept beers I have ever tasted. It was an absolute pleasure to drink the beers in here, they were that well looked after, it was worth paying the 37p per pint more than spoons. The staff in here are really welcoming, especially if you stay for a while, so much so you'd be mistaken for thinking they were your friends! No dodgy paid for reviews here, but if you like a good down to earth atmosphere, cheap beer, that is absolutely great taste, in a good environment then get in here.

   Great pub. Real friendly vibe. First time in there on Friday 25/07/25 on a visit to the City of my birth. Only had a few beers but went back the next night for more. Great service from staff, friendly atmosphere, enjoyed chatting to the locals. Will call in on next visit.

   What a fantastic pub and a great find for real ale lovers! Plenty of hand pulled ales available, great prices and knowledgeable locals. This is no longer a hotel, but has loads of history. We've been back a few times since our discovery and it never fails to impress. Well worth a visit if you're in Leeds city centre and looking for great beer!

   Super pub near the Hilton Hampton where the bar is a bit soul less. Great attentive staff, good beers, nice atmosphere and sport too. Popped in a few times between Xmas and the New Year. Would thoroughly recommend.
