Terrible service - I attended an early pregnancy scan at Ultrasound Direct Alderley Edge and left feeling very let down. The sonographer felt very disconnected during my appointment with little reassurance, no empathy, no great communication and given the sensitivity of the service I expected a bit more. After being told I’d be rebooked for a rescan, I heard nothing from the clinic. When I followed up by phone, I was told they had called and emailed me, neither of which I received. When I explained this, I felt I wasn’t believed, which was frustrating. Then the lady on the phone proceeded to not agree and in the end the phone call was rude again no empathy on the situation or even understanding. Overall, I found the communication, empathy, and customer service massively lacking from start to finish. This is such an important and emotional time, and unfortunately my experience here did not reflect the level of care and understanding I expected. Will not be returning, not recommend, going elsewhere.

I’m still shaken from my experience this morning. I had an appointment at 11:05am, I got a call from head office at 11:14am saying I was late and that the appointment would be cancelled. I told her I was already in front of the clinic, she stated that I was late. I said that there were times I had also been delayed by the clinic and had to wait but it was OK, I would cancel, and could I get a refund, she said I would not get a refund. I then said well it wasn’t acceptable and that I would go into the office to speak to a manager and she raised her voice saying I shouldn’t step into the office, I shouldn’t go into the office. I was so confused at the aggression and hate that this person was directing at me for being 9 minutes late. I went into the office anyway and met with the sonographer and receptionist who were a lot more understanding and spoke in a polite, humane way. I have made a complaint and asked that the call be listened to and escalated but been told the calls are not recorded. I don’t believe that I should ever have been spoken to in that way. No one should. I cannot fault the people in the branch but the head office staff who surprisingly is a manager there needs to be retrained. There is no way a sustainable business can employ a staff who is so lacking in basic human manners or decency. She was rude, unpleasant and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend based solely on this horrible experience.
