This was absolutely amazing! I had the Steak and ale pie with chops and peas and the absolute best sticky toffee pudding with custard. Okay it was my first but it remained the best out of the others I tried. I am still drooling over it. Lovely pub and great people.
Called in on spec for a late lunch what a wonderful place, the food was top, we had chicken Kiev.. proper, not breadcrumbed re formed breast, but tasty and juicy. There was a lot of laughter , and there was a good choice of beer.. what's not to like!
Super welcoming local pub in Padfield. Excellent staff and beer. Coffees great as well. Looking forward to a meal there this evening!
Pub was cold. Their attempt at 'bread' was shite. Why have the Mona Lisa framed by a wet cardboard box? Will be a LORNG time before I even consider returning there. All lad said was, 'sorry'. Nothing has seemed good enough these last three years.
Came across this little gem as we were visiting the area for my mums 70th birthday absolutely beautiful food. Didn't stay here so can't comment on room's but staff were great and place was dog friendly and also offered a dog meal.
One of my favourite places to eat out in the Hadfield area. The menu is good and food quality is great. The staff are always very welcoming.
My friend and I decided to visit the peels Arms in Padfield to refresh old distant memories of when we could climb through a hole in the wall. Straight away the landlady welcomed us into the pub. What a lovely landlady, very pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. The pub was warm and cosy with lovely decor. We had a nice meal and were not disappointed , the service was excellent. We don't live locally but will be back sometime with our wifes. Thank you for making our viste so special .
We have eaten here on many occasions in the past. Today was disappointing. The pub was cold. The food did not offer value for money. A glance at the Sunday dinners on the other tables looked good though. We had steak and ale pie, which was steak and vegetables, the scampi portion was disappointing. Two of us had the chicken in sauce and the sauce on each plate looked totally different. Apparently it was a new menu so hopefully will improve.
Warm welcome by very attentive courteous staff. Lovely environment with excellent food at very competitive prices. We will definitely be back.
Service was lovely and extremely helpful. Food was amazing chicken with peppercorn and Stilton, the chips are just so moreish then champagne sorbet and baileys cheesecake omg so tasty. Will be back
