At last a restaurant that puts as much effort into vegan and vegitarian food as they do for the meat dishes! Between us we tried a good variety. The food was delicious and worth every penny. The inn was really busy with a great atmosphere, roaring fire, and friendly attentive staff. We wished we had booked to stay the night it was that good. We'll definitley be back. Thank you Old Hall Inn!

Cannot recommend this beautiful venue highly enough. We chose by chance ahd couldn’t be happier. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left 3 days later the staff and owners were nothing less than perfect hosts. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the food was simply incredible, the venue is gorgeous and the atmosphere is so peaceful and chilled. Our room was stylish, beautifully furnished and comfortable. We will DEFINITELY be back. A hidden gem of a place.

Visited for Sunday roast. We were all very happy with the place, lovely busy vibe with clearly very hard working staff and great food and beer choices. The pork roast was said to be amazing, only quibble was with my roast beef which was very tough, although still very tasty. Prices were great. Nice comfortable seating. Dog friendly. Tough beef was probably a one off, and I fully intend to go back, it's fab.

We had booked a quiet room for lunch for a business meeting on a busy Saturday. Storms delayed some of our party's arrival but we were made welcome on arrival even though we were half an hour late. We were very well looked after, had a delicious, relaxed good quality lunch. It felt more like being in a friend's house than a pub hotel. Great choice of really good beer. Couldn't praise this enough.

Came for a family meal, two of which have birthdays this week. On booking, three weeks prior to the date, there was a section for β€œany special requirements” in that section I did write that there is a member with a dairy allergy and can a DF Yorkshire pudding be made (this is something many places do accommodate with advanced request). When querying at the table the wait staff did request but the chef is far too busy to accommodate. Β£170.00 bill between 6 and only one person drinking alcohol, you’d think they would be a little more accommodating. Meal was nice but not worth the Β£28.50 price tag. No DF desert options either unless you wanted sorbet.

Me and the Mrs went on steak night and were blown away by the quality of the food and service. Initially got a chipped wine glass but when sorted the wine was beautiful and the steak out of this world. The chef was kind enough to give us the ingredients to the anchovy butter sauce that we can't wait to replicate. Not to be missed !

Just stayed for the first time in this wonderful historic inn. The food was top quality and a wide array of real ale to wash it down whilst enjoying a cosy, warm, inviting ambiance. The wood burners and open fireplaces added to the whole relaxing feel to the place. The staff were really helpful and engaging. When my wife pointed out a slight problem in the ladies toilet it was sorted straight away. Our room was lovely with a bath to die for. Set alongside the Peak Forest trail it is well worth a visit. I was also impressed to hearing how well the owner looks after his team which was lovely to hear. Top marks.

Such a beautiful place! The food was lovely and the staff were cracking. Minus one star as the table we were placed at was so sticky that the serviettes ripped as you picked them up. Bit grim. Edit post reply. It was absolutely not dirt making it sticky. Sorry if that was implied. Honestly this pub is beautiful. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food.

Stayed locally and came for dinner. Four of us with two dogs, we were shown to a table by friendly staff, got our drinks and ordered. Two had Lamb pudding, one sea trout and I had fish and chips. We had a great evening, the food was fantastic, drinks lovely and waiting staff friendly, efficient and attentive. I have to add that my meal was GF and the batter on the fish was awesome. Guy behind the bar needs to get over himself but maybe an off night. Hopefully we will get to go again.

This is a review for the pub! Wow! If I could give 10 stars I would! Lovely service, the staff was super nice and clearly knew how to do their job. The location was great big pub with outside space. The food was just gorgeous. We got the Sunday roast and everything was well cooked and flavourful. Big portions. Excellent Yorkshire puddings. Just wow. Definitely recommend a visit. Well done to all the team. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area again.
