Couldn't fault this place . I booked last week for 2 nights and ended up extended for another night. Lovely staff especially the lady who cleaned my room really helpful and really friendly nothing was to much trouble . Even down to asking if I'd enjoyed my stay Rooms clean really quiet hotel and location is fabulous right in the heart of the northern quarter. I enjoyed it thatuch I have just booked to stay for 2 nights this weekend .

Hotel is nicely presented outside.. to enter you gotta press a button for the doors to open. Easy checkin. Gotta tap your card to operate the lifts. We were on the 3rd floor and our room was a good size at the back. The lady that checked me in was very nice. Can't remember her name. I paid for early checkin and late checkout. Id stay here again

Stayed here on a Friday night as I was celebrating my birthday with a night out. Brilliant location with the Northern Quarter on the doorstep. Hotel bar open until 4am so we were able to get food when we came back. Shout out to supervisor Bernadette who was absolutely lovely when checking us in.

Room was lovely, although extremely hot throughout the night... there was a fan to use which was nice, the main street is very loud! Lots of sirens being close to hospital so bare in mind if your a light sleeper or want quiet. Food and bar we lovely, nice atmosphere and staff very friendly.

I stayed at this hotel in February 2023 When I entered my room, I noticed an unpleasant smell but thought nothing of it. I then used the sink to wash my hands, however the water filled to the top and did not go down. I then saw a colleague in the corridor heading into the maintenance/cleaning room who then came back to the room to try and fix the issue. The gentleman opened the trap and emptied the water into a bucket, which produced an even more unpleasant smell. The dirty water had touched the gentlemanβs hand (he did not wear any gloves) and he then went on to touch the tap handle and the door handle which is very unhygienic. The gentleman then asked me to use and monitor the sink, and if the issue continued then I should go down to reception who will move myself and my guest to another room. I used the sink 30 minutes later and the water would not flow down. I then went down to reception to ask to be moved to another room, but they stated they were fully booked for the night so were unable to move me to another room. A colleague came up to the room with a plunger to solve the issue. The issue was not solved and the unpleasant smell continued to fill the room. My experience at Travelodge Ancoats was extremely poor, but I had no option but to continue my stay. I was also promised a 25% E-Voucher by the Hotel Manager, allowing 25% off my next travelodge booking, however I have not received that yet.

Stayed 2 nights, the first night was fine nothing went wrong. The room was fine for 2 of us, nothing to complain about. Staff was nice on arrival asking us why we were visiting and making conversation. The 2nd night was a utter nightmare, wanting a chilled night in the hotel turned into a nightmare. From about 9pm an argument was started next door which resulted in them hitting the wall connecting to our room, phoned reception who did checks and nothing was found. Then for the next 4 hours huge bangs coming from the room above us, happening every 10/15 minutes putting us on edge. We constantly phoned reception who didnβt pick up after we phoned 2/3 times. Verbal abuse coming from next door banging on our door for us to stop banging (we was trying to sleep.) the loud horrible bangs from upstairs went on till 2am where we had enough and left the hotel to drive 2 hours home. Staff said they would check the room after we left but no compensation!

Very warm and friendly reception, everything made easy from check in to cheked out. Room was large and clean, but expect some noise because this hotel located just by the street. Everything was great will stay here again.

Staff were friendly upon arrival. Room was sub-standard. Shower gel dispenser was out of order. Ventilation was poor due to blockage from dust. We were surprised to find out breakfast was not provided the next morning and until further notice as there was a "technical fault" in the kitchen. Moreover, we were not told about this during check in. We spoke to the manager, Emma, about our experience so far had been poor. We gave our feedback on our rooms regarding the dispenser and ventilator as we were unhappy with it. However, she was not a great listener and did not receive our feedback professionally. She took it personally and said we were being "aggressive", threatening her by "jumping over the counter" but we clearly did not. She kicked us out after our first night during our 5-day trip and threatened us by calling the police if we did not leave the premise. We had to make a last-minute booking at Premier Inn where we had a better experience and at least feedback was received in a professional manner. In summary, absolutely poor management by the manager Emma. I would not recommend this place based on our experience.
