Dated rooms need attention. Not worth the price tag. Pros - Beautiful building, nice reception and bar, great location. Nice bed linen. Thatβs where it ends. Cons - Rooms worn and in need of refurbishment especially the bathrooms. Peeling wall paper, wonky toilet seat, stains on bathroom walls, towel rail hanging off wall really grubby and dated. Not what I expected for over Β£300 a night. Also the room was really cold the thermostat would not go higher than 22.3 during freezing temperatures in November. Definitely didnβt feel like a luxury stay & wouldnβt return. Thereβs better value in Manchester.

What a great hotel. Went a week before Christmas... on a week day and the place was buzzing. Bar and and lobby area full of people having fun. The place is really nicely done out with high quality furnishings everywhere. In the room the place was immaculately clean, comfy beds and spotless bathroom. Top quality tea bags and shower gels etc etc. We used the gym and spa and it wasn't too busy at all....had a great time. Highly recommended ... will definitely visit again. The check in / checkout staff are also great... efficient and lovely. Thanks for a great stay.

Had afternoon tea at the Midland. Booked as a Christmas treat by my daughter. Both the exterior and interior are beautiful. Christmas decorations were fantastic. Afternoon tea was lovely. Good selection especially because I am gluten free. Fantastic staff, very friendly helpful. Would definitely go again

A good location to stay if you want to explore Manchester. Staff are friendly and helpful. The toiletries provided are really nice. Breakfast was delicious, a complete spread at your disposal. When I arrived a little too early, staff member Juanita looked after me so well and offered me a comfortable spot to work with a socket nearby until I could check in later in the afternoon. The staff really makes the place inviting and welcoming! Thank you, Juanita!

We stayed here for 3 nights for a city break. The hotel was in a fantastic location for exploring the centre and surrounding areas. On arrival, we were issued our room, we had booked our room for a bath, however, we had a shower. A quick phone call to reception and it was rectified immediately. Our 2nd room was perfect. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had Elemis products which smelt gorgeous. The champagne bar was nice and relaxing, we sampled a few of the cocktails on offer. We had room service one morning for breakfast. It was great to select our choices and leave it on the door before 2.30am. 9.30am our hot food arrived with a smile. We used the fitness gym and spa area for an hour, it is worth noting that you have to pre book your slot to use the the pool & saunas. Overall, we would recommend the hotel

Stunning hotel with a great history. The building is absolutely stunning. Walking around the building you notice gorgeous ornate tiles and the Midland logo (dragon?) scattered around. The location of the hotel was central to almost everything. Easy to walk to most places but also the tram is right outside. The staff were absolutely wonderful. So friendly and helpful. We missed the online check in but checking in with the staff on the desk was so pleasant. So welcoming! The room itself was pleasant, nothing too special but we only got a basic room as we were only here for a night so would love to come back and try another room. Would also like to stay longer so we could look into the spa. Excellent hotel and cannot wait to come back!

Had a close to 5 star stay at the Midland. The location was brilliant, and the style of the hotel looked fantastic. There were a few changes I would have liked however: 1. Despite getting two rooms, for the same price one was much much bigger than the other. We had no idea at the time that we'd be getting two very different rooms. 2. Service was slow - we had missing items in the room, and it took a few calls to the desk to get some of them delivered to the room. Other items never arrived. 3. Breakfast was just too expensive for the quality of food that was available. The full English breakfast containers sometimes contained food swimming in water. All in all it was a good 4/5 stay.

The most beautiful hotel with incredibly warm and welcoming staff. 4 of us stayed in 2 rooms, one of which was particularly beautiful with a seating area separate from the bedroom. The bed was super comfortable, amenities were fantastic, large shower, tea and coffee in room, a fridge in room and big wins for me - a proper hairdryer and iron! The location is superb for a city break to Manchester as itβs in walking distance of most places. The bar downstairs is fabulous with a fantastic drinks menu and really is the most amazing place to just relax and watch the world go by. We didnβt have either of our rooms made up throughout our stay but on our first morning someone did come in while we were still there so they left and said theyβd be back but they never made it back. It wasnβt a major issue for us but I did have to pop to reception on our third night for some additional Shower gels and loo roll which were promptly delivered along with an apology as apparently they arenβt offering daily service at present and we should have been told at the booking stage. Honestly, it was a non issue for us and I get the service sector is struggling for staff so Iβm mentioning it in case this is a deal breaker for another person. The corridors did have a slightly funny smell and our sink was a little slow to drain but when you walk into reception you are greeted with the most divine scent of an opulent spa. All in all we loved it and would return on our next city break to Manchester.

Here for one night, first time in Manchester. Beautiful hotel, great service, friendly caring and made us feel important. It was vibrant and busy which made it feel bubbly. Room was little small but we were not fussed. The restaurant was fantastic dinner and breakfast. Can't fault it at all. Thank you

Remember to use Κα΄α΄α΄ΚΚoΚΚΚ.α΄α΄m when booking your stay. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of my favorites in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't regret it. There on business. Room was spacious and clean, bed was lovely and comfortable and air conditioning in rooms was easy to use. Large walk in shower with complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner that smelt lovely. Ample options for breakfast. Would definitely stay again
