Positives: -Reasonably spacious rooms compared to over accoms I've been in -Desk staff (at least from my dealings) are quite friendly -There's a fair amount of security (gates, several locks and fob scanners) -Only four people per flat -Ensuite bathrooms. Lots of other accoms make you share. -Walkable distance to unis, but only just. It's about 25 minutes away. Negatives: -No social spaces aside from a pretty dead table tennis area and a smoking bench -Meeting people outside your flat is very hard because a lot of the blocks only have one flat per floor, so good luck if you don't like your flatmates. -No lifts. RIP if you're on the fourth floor -Cupboards and fridge/freezer space is too limited in my opinion for a self-catered accommodation. They could do with two fridges so you have two shelves each instead of one and don't have to risk mixing your food with other people's. It's not like they don't have the space. -Quite far away from most supermarkets so you do have to walk a fair distance in order to get groceries, which is annoying if you're doing a big weekly shop. -Price of Β£218 per week is far too high for the service you're getting. If it was more like Β£170-190, it would be far more reasonable. -No bonus onsite amenities like other accoms e.g. gyms, bars, etc that would maybe make the price more understandable.

Itβs a 3 because there is good things and bad things. Good : Spacious rooms, decent sized bed, storage space was decent although only a couple drawers was kind of poor, need a key for 3-4 points of entry which made me feel very safe , some off the staff were really friendly in reception however iβd say that the night staff were much less friendly and slightly rude sometimes , thankfully had no pest issues or bugs which was a plus! Bad : 3 hoovers between 500 students, no lifts even though there are 4 floors which made moving in and out very difficult, kitchen always had a weird smell, absolutely no room in fridge for 4 people, window would always break, waterpresssure in shower was bad, vents in bathroom full of mold and dirt, dryers would never dry clothes properly , no social spaces whatsoever other than a smoking area and a measly table tennis All in all I paid Β£191 per week last year however i notice the price has gone up to Β£218 and I am certain that Daisy Bank is not worth Β£218 per week as there are basically no amenities , so I would 100% say that daisy Bank should be less than Β£170 per week maximum !!

I was really happy with this accomondation! I would 100% recommend this, especially for international students. I would say it was worth it to pay a bit more for this. Good things: - super quiet and peaceful environment (maybe not the best if you are an party animal) - kind staff and maintenance people who were always happy to help with anything - modern and clean kitchen areas (and with only 3 flatmates!) - spaceful rooms and good en suite as well - I felt always safe with 24/7 reception - 25 minutes walk to uni/5 minutes walk to bus stop - 10 minutes walk to Lidl - quieter neighbourhood with greener areas and mainly students living in this area Things that could be better: - no common room for all residents, allthough most res life events were organised in the manchester gardens student accomondation basically next door - the water pressure in shower was not the best but i got used to it quite soon after moving in - and water temperature was always good!! - if you want to be super close to uni or good night life, this is not the best location for it. Tho uber from city center to Daisy Bank is around 4-5Β£ so I didnβt mind - the heater was always at 18 degree temperature (i could adjust it up to 23 degrees but it always came back to 18 after 5 minutes), so sometimes it was a bit cold in room

It's a quiet, good house, worth living in. The team members are all very professional and friendly, especially Claudia and Mario. The five-star rating is all because of them; the housing experience would otherwise deserve at most four stars. Objectively speaking, those one-star reviews are a bit exaggerated. The house is indeed a bit far from the school and the city center, and there are few shops around. However, there is a bus stop with the 50 route right at the doorstep, so it's not particularly inconvenient. Regarding the WiFi, it's true that it's very slow for gaming, but it's fine for attending classes and watching videos. Throughout my communication with Claudia and Mario, they also helped me clear up many misunderstandings. Overall, the feeling was quite positive. In short, I would give Claudia and Mario a five-star rating.

I loved this accommodation site, it was a good price (Β£138/w). The building and rooms were recently refurbished, the site was clean and the staff were friendly. Lots of parking is available and the surrounding location is nice. It's a shame UoM has claimed and taken the rooms as I wanted to book here for my second and third years of studying.
