I had an utterly dreadful experience at this store. The cashier was not only rude but also dishonest. Despite having sufficient funds, our cards kept showing a ‘failed connection’ error, and instead of admitting the machine issue, he made us feel like we were at fault. When we returned with cash, he claimed he just changed tills for no reason, clearly trying to make us believe we were lying. This was an infuriating experience and I would strongly advise against this store. If I could have left a 0 star review I’m telling you now I would have!

No store answers the phone, I tried 3 in my area and they all cut off after a few rings. Tried 4 customer service numbers and same thing. Customer service by phone doesn’t exist and the q&a service is rubbish. They also don’t do refunds which is why I wanted to check the delivery date for an item I needed but will not order if I can’t check it’s in stock. I didn’t want to leave one star but you can’t post a review without star rating.

Typical Sports Direct - some decent bargains, lots of stock. Very frustrating when trying to get trainers to try on that there only seems to be one person running around trying to serve everyone and then there's always staff standing around chatting near the entrance. Similar with the tills - queue of people and other staff on the shop floor seemed reluctant to help out the till staff trying their best.

Be careful of deceptive pricing. I was going to buy an item marked with a big pink 50% off sticker whose regular price was 5.99£, but it was priced at 3.99£ with black marker. When I brought it to the manager because it was only marked 30% off, I was told it was "up to" 50%. And it does say in VERY tiny print "up to". So, if you choose to shop there pay attention to the math and don't think you are getting the percent savings just because a sticker they added says some possible percent off. Ignore it, bring your reading glasses and do the math yourself so you know the truthful price. I won't be shopping there.

I’m unsure why this store only assigns a random staff member to occasionally assist customers in finding shoes. It seems logical to have at least one or two dedicated associates in the trainer department, given the constant demand from parents and grandparents searching for footwear for their children. The current fitting process feels counterintuitive. Instead of providing customers with clear stock information—such as the availability of sizes for each shoe style via a tablet or kiosk, as many other retailers do—the system requires scanning a shoe first. When it turns out to be unavailable, customers are left waiting 15–20 minutes before trying again with another option. This inefficient process is both frustrating and time-consuming. It’s hard to imagine profits remaining strong when customers leave due to poor service and lack of support in completing a purchase. We came here ready to spend money, but the prevailing “can’t be bothered” attitude makes it difficult to justify returning.

Had to return faulty shoes I bought in September, Kevin the store manager saw the issue and was excellent, highly professional in dealing with the problem. Thanks.

Awful changing room experience and they need to get changing rooms for men. I was trying clothing on in one of the two stalls within the changing rooms. Mine was obviously in use, as the curtain was closed and even put my rucksack against it and the wall so there were no gaps along the side. As I was putting on cycling shorts, an older man opened the curtain to my stall, laughed and said "whoops sorry". I shut the curtain quickly after shouting and he was still laughing. The stall next to me was EMPTY the entire time!!!! The curtain for that stall was open and it was directly in front of view. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and I'm so angry. I told the person at the till that they need to get separate changing rooms for men, as a random man has just opened the curtain to mine when there was a a vacant stall and they barely reacted like it was nothing/nothing to be concerned about. Which has annoyed me even more and made me think if this has happened there before or they're just not bothered. Couldn't find another staff member and I just really wanted to leave soon as. Worst experience I've had in a changing room and they need to take it more seriously when customers say things like this. Like what if it were a younger girl? Changing rooms need to be sorted or monitored more for safety, especially when women and young girls are in there getting changed.

There is clear lack of interest in serving anybody shopping in there. Yesterday, I bought some stuff and went today to return some if them due to size. The cashier said Sport Direct stopped refunding buyer. Instead, you could exchange the items or we could keep your money as balance. But we can’t give refund into your bank account. This is very unacceptable and it does not make any sense. What is my benefit, as a customer, to keep my money as a balance if i’m not interested in your products?!! It's all absolute garbage marketing practice. This shop is also full of stock that will never ever sell as it's old fashioned. Highly unrecommended, AVOID if you could, BE AWARE OF NO REFUND POLICY! Most items are definitely overpriced compared to other stores in the outlet! That’s the first and definitely the last visit ever!

An ok shop but in my personal opinion mostly overpriced goods. Due to the height that some clothing items are displayed at, you cannot see/ feel/ check the clothing to see if it would fit or meet your needs. There aren't enough staff to help all customers to do this either.

Dear General.managers of sports direct ! Please note the excellent conduct i have seen of Kevin at the branch . I have been to.many stores and the new CEO relative of precious Mike, this is the attitude and niceness professionalism he had been with us. As a former NHS non executive and CEO I like quality staff who are welcoming and above board in there representation. This is how all staff in roles should behave . Many thanks indeed . Leeds comment
