What a fabulous little theatre. Manned by volunteers. Great bar serving drinks, chocolate and ice cream. Drinks for the interval can be ordered. Every performance I have seen has been fantastic. A true gem. Keep up the great work folks

Just been to watch 'Everyone's talking about Jamie'. Wow, just wow. What a brilliant production. I cried, properly cried and I turned to my friend who was also crying. The acting capability was outstanding. The venue, lovely, small and perfectly adequate. Never been to a show at the Playhouse before, but would 100% return. What an amazing night watching some talented young and older actors.
Went to watch ' An evening with Michael Bublé , featuring Josh Hindle and his live band '. Went on a Friday evening the tickets were £16. Great singing and the live band were fabulous. Packed out , fun atmosphere had a brilliant time. Very cheap drinks and snacks, £3.60 for a gin and lemonade and a regular coke, 50p a bag of crisps and £1.25 a bag of sweets or chocolate. Staff friendly, amazing service. Will definitely be visiting regularly from now on. Can't recommend enough.
Only a small local theatre but love it. Some of the seats are actually on the stage. Small cosy bar area and the drinks are cheap. This month we have seen Stax of Soul, absolutely amazing, and Suburban Swing. Unfortunately I was taken ill and fainted about 5 mins into the swing band's act and had to be taken out by my husband and son in law and I offer my apologies to the solo artist of the time and to the audience. However, my daughter remained in her seat rather than cause any further disturbance but, with her phone on silent, tried to message her husband, who was with me, to find out what was happening. The female solo artist made a sarcastic comment about her doing her online Christmas shopping. The theatre staff were amazing from the usher who lit up the stairs, the staff who opened the black out doors and the lady in the bar who helped me in the ladies and gave me a glass of water. And a thank you to the audience who in the interval looked for and found my phone which I had dropped. Hope next time I'm in Royton to visit again, next time without a problem
Excellent performance of 'Around the World in Eighty Days' . A lovely, independent theatre with great viewing from all seats. There staff are all volunteers and are extremely friendly.
Fabulous hidden gem in the centre of Shaw with many live productions, bands, performances, musicals, movies past and present it really has alot to offer. Ran by professional volunteers it's really an amazing popular place.
