“Watched The Lion King at the Palace Theatre and it was absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere in the theatre itself is grand and historic, with great acoustics and comfortable seating. The performance was world-class, from the costumes and stage design to the music, everything was magical and immersive. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience felt smooth and well-organised. Truly one of those shows that stays with you long after the curtain falls. Highly recommend both the venue and the production!”

“Came to Manchester to see the Beths. When that was cancelled at short notice I met up with a mate and his wife to see their daughter in the band "Brand New Legs" at Night People. Lovely, smart venue with a great vibe. Bar well positioned on one side and a handy step up down the left hand side for the vertically challenged! Reminded me of the sugar mill in Hanley minus the sticky floor!”

“The owner David puts on various speciality nights , tonight was a Thai night and all the food was prepared and cooked by his partner Sai .. It was awesome, she is an amazing cook, the food was outstanding and made me feel like i was actually back in Thailand .. at £30 per head probably the best Thai meal i have ever had in the UK ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

The acting capability was outstanding. The venue, lovely, small and perfectly adequate. Never been to a show at the Playhouse before, but would 100% return. What an amazing night watching some talented young and older actors.”

“Great to see the contemporary dance performance 'shed' by the Northern Rascals dance company at the Partington. Such a great performance dealing with timeless issues in a contemporary way in a performance which really spoke to me. Wonderful to have touring acts perform at this venue (let's bring more if we can!) as well as traditional theatre performances by the players.”

“Brilliant place with a great atmosphere. Very comfortable and welcoming with extremely friendly volunteers running it. Brings a real sense of community which is part of the aim. They run a fab cafe with some very different choices of food and also include vegetarian and vegan options too. Events and projects for the community run during the day and the evening. There's a bar for evening events which serves a great selection of drinks at incredibly reasonable prices. A very relaxed informal welcoming place. Open mic night is lots of fun with anyone and everyone encouraged to get up and play or sing. Very eclectic with something for everyone. Lots of local artisans and artists sell their wares here too and there are lots of plans in the pipeline yet to come”

“We had our son's 11th birthday party here recently, and it was a great experience - it's such good value, especially the bowling time, the arcade games and the food is lovely. Aleina in particular was a wonderful host who took really good care of us all. This is the third year in a row we've had birthday parties at the Light, and it never disappoints!”

“This place is five ⭐ stars!! Afternoon event for a Holy Communion! Food, atmosphere and staff all amazing. A sense that they all enjoy their work!! Very clean and probably the best breakfast food I’ve had in years! Perfection!! Value for money also was a 5/5!!!! My son who has autism enjoyed his food and ate it so that’s a big compliment!!! “Amazing little gem Production was brilliant (talking heads) Great support staff It wasn't v warm but take a big coat,these places must cost a fortune to heat and at only £8 per ticket they need all funds they can get I guess Light refreshments at interval even a raffle! Parking was available on street but v full however there is a free car park 5 mins walk away it is a bit of a hill if you have mobility/health issues tho just go early and get space nearby if you able We done tlt we will be coming again”

“I went to Coal and Cotton twice within two weeks, first time with husband and sister in law, was atclynch time, so not too noisy, as it was lunch time. The atmosphere was quite but still lovely so you could talk. Went the second week with a friend for tea in the evening, was alot busier but still not too busy, so it was still a lovely atmosphere. The food is always lovely, I just think the main potions don't have to be so large. The only thing I was gutted was I forgot to use my loyalty card, I just think it would be a good idea if a member of staff could ask if you have a loyalty card.”

“The tolly is a great traditional pub, large selection of drinks. Lovely setting on the canal, option to sit outside in pub garden, dog friendly and all round great pub”
