    No receipt issued from self serve machine after purchase paid by cc. Item handed to myself and staff informed that the machine did not issue a receipt. Informed it did not matter. I then requested a receipt and got a receipt with purchased by gift card. Informed staff that if faulty item I would want refund by cash to card not a gift card. Not a pleasant experience

    They are causing issues with the return of products that can be returned without any reason according to the Consumer Rights Act 2015. However, from what I've observed, there seems to be some discrimination involved. The employee had previously accepted a return for a similar product that was used, right in front of us. But they refused to accept ours, claiming that they couldn't determine whether it had been used or not. When we reminded them of the law, they were surprised but still said they couldn't accept the return and ignored us, continuing to assist another customer. After the online customer representative confirmed our right to a return, employees at another Argos branch processed our return without any issues. Be cautious of the staff at this branch.

    Avoid this Argos unless you want to risk getting faulty goods and then be refused a refund. Thank God I ordered online so when they refused to give me a refund, I went back home and ordered a home pick-up and exchange from Argos customer service not connected to the store. The 2 women (Catherine and Felix) were absolutely awful. Felix was rude BUT was about to process my refund until she went to have a small chat with Catherine (if that is her real name, shot brunette). All of a sudden, no refund. ??? This supervisor/manager is convincing her staff not to process refunds. No real reason given. The box is open? (well how can i see if my product is in it and working). Anyways, I left. If the managers/ supervisors don't want to lawfully process refunds as stated on the receipt and consumer law then no one should shop here. Order online or L1/ somewhere else.

    I bought an Apple Air Pod from Great Homer Street Argos yesterday (10-04-2024). When we opened the cover, we realized that we could not use it. When I went to return it, the salesman and the manager , they said broke the transparant plastic cover so I could not take it back. That is our policy. But on the back side of the bill, it is written that if the item can be returned, it can be returned within 30 days. But the manager Sue says that it is not possible to take back or refund. So we are afraid to buy another product from Argos. If you all want good customer service, please shop elsewhere.

    [25/02/2023 at 08:30am] This morning I tried to exchange my laptop, purchased yesterday, at this store due to a potential hardware fault that was causing a buzzing electrical sound within the chassis. The member of staff running the till proceeded to GASLIGHT me, saying she couldn't hear a buzzing sound and therefore I wasn't entitled to an exchange or refund. I noted that the sound is low in volume and thus is difficult to hear in a noisy enviroment (shop/supermarket), this appeal to reason had no effect on the staff member who was clearly determined to ruin my day and deny me an exchange. As a last resort I invoked my consumer rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, which entitles consumers to a refund for product faults within 14 days of purchase. The staff member proceeded to lie by saying that this doesn't apply in my case as the seal on the box was broken - however, this exemption in the CCR act pertains to broken seals for software/CDs/DVDs; NOT laptops. How can I verify the condition of an electrical product without first opening it and turning it on? The member of staff, whom claimed to be acting manager for the day (another dubious claim), should be able to answer this for me.

    Came to Argos today to make a return and a lovely member of staff called Abbie helped me.she has served me before and is so nice and helpful,I’m on crutches and not very well so struggle and she couldn’t of been nicer,Brilliant service 5⭐️‘S

    Was spoken to very abruptly by a member of for inquiring if I could order and pay in cash. I was bluntly told 'no you cant' to which I replied 'ok no worries' but another staff member advised me I could if I find the product number. I paid and left but walked away with a bitter taste in my mouth.
