My dentist referred me here to have a wisdom tooth removal. The process took from March to now, but through no fault of MyDentist, they fitted me in as soon as I rang and I managed to get a cancellation appointment, which I wasn’t expecting. The team who dealt with my extraction were brilliant from start to finish, they explained everything and were really reassuring. The extraction wasn’t the easiest and it wasn’t 100% straight forward. I don’t suffer with anxiety around dental work but I imagine if you did, the staff would be really calming. I got there early and was seen 25 minutes before my appointment time. The aftercare was explained to me much better than previous work elsewhere. I understand we all have different experiences looking at some of the reviews on here, but I honestly can’t fault them for the service I’ve received. I’m also grateful the tooth is gone!

I suffer with anxiety when it comes to dentistry. The receptionist, assistants and surgeon here seemed to understand this and helped me to feel completely at ease. The extraction was a tricky one as a lot of my tooth had already crumbled away, but the surgeon was an absolute trooper and was determined to make it as quick and easy as possible, giving me positive encouragement all of the time. I can tell that all of the staff here work so well together as a team, and that the experience of the patient is number one. Thank you for giving me the courage to come back before it gets this bad in future. Keep doing what you are doing, great job!

Overpriced, £60 was their affordable check up. Long wait times while there's no one else in the waiting room. Not very friendly dentist and the receptionists and the dentists/hygienists are stood having a chat in the waiting room, or mincing about the place singing along to the radio. Couldn't even print out a page of A4 paper without there being issues. Horrible vibes, won't be back.

Very disappointed with our experience at My Dentist—Peel Street, Barnsley. We had an appointment for our child but weren’t seen until nearly an hour later, with no explanation or apology for the delay. It was only a simple routine check-up, yet we were left waiting with no communication. My wife also had a filling done here some time ago that ended up causing her pain. We had to go to a private dentist to fix it, as the original work was not done properly — costing us extra time, stress, and money. To make things worse, after waiting months for another appointment, we received a cancellation letter with no explanation at all. When we called to rebook, the earliest they could offer was another 6–7 months away. That’s simply unacceptable, especially after already waiting so long. Overall, the service has been extremely poor, and we’ve lost trust in the practice. Would not recommend.

0 stars. I travelled every time more than 30 minutes to get to this dentist.i got late one time they moved my appointment 6 months later. There was no other dentist taking in my area so I had to wait 6 months. I was due mid of September and called to double check only to find out they cancelled my appointment because the dentist is leaving. Next thing they told me to ring back in 6 months to check for any room. Absolutely disgusting

The opening times of the practice are very convenient but I'm tired of having mine or my children's appointments cancelled. Our son saw the dentist in September and was asked to come back in 3 months. 2 weeks before his 2nd appointment it gets cancelled. I call to make him another and book our daughter in at the same time, nothing until May. I then get a letter through a few weeks back cancelling our daughter's appointment. I ended up deregistered during covid as they had cancelled a few successive appointments and then obviously weren't seeing people for non emergencies. Which meant when I broke my tooth I had to wait 9 months to be seen someone by which point I was in quite a bit of pain. I've had the tooth fixed but still may need root canal because it was left for so long. The practice was better when it was 2 separate practices (yes I've been with them that long) they have taken on far too many patients. My partner has had that many appointments cancelled by the practice he's no longer registered there and when he called to re book they told him he had cancelled all the appointments. Lies, he still has all the texts they sent. Funnily enough the dentist I was under before having to register again, the one my partner was with and the one bith our children are under is the same person. Unfortunately I'm looking around for another dentist who's taking on NHS patients as I've simply had enough.

I can't believe how dishonest this practice as been, I was ringing around trying to find someone to take care of my children's teeth. I called this practice and spoke to them regarding the problems my children had and explained that I need to get treatment the following week for one of my two children and they said it wouldn't be a problem so I booked them in for a consultation which was quite reasonably priced at £16 each and then they wanted to x-ray another £30 each so the total of this consultation ended up being £92 for both children. When I got the plan at the end for both children the total price was £909 the NHS dentist that they are currently under only wanted to do three fillings two fillings on one child and one on the other!!! Here's the worst part after all this and £92 later they then told me my daughter couldn't have an appointment for the following week which they said would be ok,it then changed to a month later so now after paying the consultation this as all been a waste of time as my daughter as a bad cavity and need's seeing fast. Why should people pay private and get a service slower than the NHS anyway, how disappointing.

First visit. Mananged to get an appointment on a Saturday. Could not have been better service. Had Dr Khan extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Perfect guidance, never written a review before but felt the need after my appointment.

Dentists here are like car sales people, it's all extras, extras and extras. Their money seems more a priority than your treatment. Switched to this from my usual dentist as it's more convenient with opening times around my work hours. I lost complete track of what I had paid because there are so many extras being thrown at you. Before I realised, it had cost me 3x more than what was supposed to be initially. Also takes deposits for everything, lost a deposit because I missed an appointment and couldn't call. **I was a patient here for about 2 months, check your records again, I'll send you receipts for proof if you want them. I got fed up of the hard-sell when all I wanted was a clean so I've gone back to my original dentist now so my review will remain**

broke a tooth almost 3 months ago, it broke flush with my gum, my dentist said they could,nt do it so they booked me in with this practice. the only trouble was ,they said it would be a month , anyway, almost 3 months later it was removed.I was nervous about the procedure ,because I had only had extractions anaesthetised but this time i was awake. I should not have worried a jab near the tooth ,a wait for the numbness to take effect ,a little click and it was out. I was staggered awesome , no pain! I worried for NOWT. That lot at that practice first class.
