The food and eating area was good but unfortunately, the customer assistant, Kasha, was rude and very dismissive. I wanted to pay for my mum's food after mine, but very abruptly Kasha told me "this man is next", indicating the gentleman beside me. I understand that another customer needed to be served after me, but her tone/manners left a lot to be desired.

Always friendly staff, at this venue. just need to sort out people having shopping in 3 out of four seats, ie could not sit due to female hogging all seats on table. asked to sit on table she said she was waiting for friends but none came and then left with shopping glancing at me sheepisly and dissapeard on next table female had full table with computer and papers all over, so it needs sorting, but very happy with rest once I found a seat.

I've had lunch here most Saturdays for about five years. The cafe is always clean and fresh, light and airy. They always have plenty of staff on during busy periods, so although there may be a large queue, itβll go down fast. Itβs manic in there sometimes and it must take a special kind of people to staff it. There are plenty of tables, including a large upper floor, with a balcony for observing the "busy-ness" down below. The food is well presented, always appears prepared to a high standard and is tasty. I usually have the macaroni cheese with prosciutto or the mac and kale, because itβs hearty, filling and warm. The pastries are superb, the better for being freshly baked. The croissants are light and fluffy. I also recommend the cinnamon swirl. I recommend the simple childrenβs cheese sandwich, which is great for Primary aged kids. In fact I once spoke to an OAP who said she preferred it because itβs a great no nonsense sarnie. My young son likes the chocolate cookie. Itβs not so much choc chip as chocolate dollops inside the cookie, which melt and get messy when you eat it - but itβs worth it. Their tea is a particularly nice blend. They are still serving drinks in single-use take-out cups (even if youβre eating in). They did away with the porcelain cups and saucers during Covid, which is a shame.

Seb is a credit to the company, always welcoming and friendly (even first thing in the morning) The food is good quality and worth the bit extra money.
