Went to the chemist to pick up my prescription after a week of waiting for a text and was surprised to find out that it isn't Boots anymore. No one let me know that they had left. New owner was overwhelmed and very apologetic about the situation. Didn't have all my medication in but promised me that they were ready the next day. Which they were. Hopefully this new owner will be faster and better at dispensing prescriptions.

This has to be the worst Boots in the area only go because its nearest to my house. Reasons why in my experiences are...went at opening time took around 15 minutes as somebody hadn't closed the till properly and couldn't pay cash because of it so had to wait until till was balanced so paid card just to get out of there. On another visit @1.45 told couldn't pick up prescription as Pharmacist was on lunch even though I'd rang earlier in the day to ask when it would be ready to be told anytime. Rang today to ask when I could pick up to be basically told dinner isn't set and they have breaks but normally lunch is between 12 and 1 so will go at around 4 30 and hope all goes well. Back to Mossley Road which is out of my way but the service is better.

I only gave this pharmacy 1 star because its in a handy place for me,but that's the one and only positive. Painfully slow service, both times I had my prescription sent there through the NHS app, they said they didn't have it when I rang my doctors it had actually been there 2 days, they don't have a clue, and they don't answer the phones either,my advice is just to avoid it.

Britain’s top pharmacy- from bottom. I don’t eat anything with gelatine. Said to pharmacists again n again to make a note in the system. Unfortunately couple of month’s ago dispensed iron tablets with gelatine, I explained that GP only prescribe generic medication. Waited another 5 days and received iron without gelatine- thank you pharmacy. At repeat prescription, rang pharmacy that GP is emailing iron tab prescriptions, please make sure no gelatine. Pharmacist confirmed no gelatine iron tab will be ordered. Received collection text, busy at work, wife went for collection. Dispensed iron tab with gelatine; and 1 medication short, wife never asked why sent a text when all medications not available; she never checked gelatine assuming they have listened. Went on a Saturday met with manager with a view not to complain but to suggest improvement, re process and how to record in systems that no gelatine. She agreed and reassured that non gelatine iron will be ordered. Received collection text wife went, got the medication but missing the iron tablets, only received the medication which was missing from last time. Regulators need to pick this up. Very un professional. System and process needs to be reviewed. Our pharmacies are the strong pillar of healthcare, hard working pharmacists, but missing the basics of dispensing process when systems are in place.

No longer contact you to say prescription ready so have to phone pharmacy. Phone on redial and gave up after call no.47. Drove down to pharmacy convinced prescription must be ready as doctor said it was there . No such luck, blank faces then can you come back in 2 days ? No problem if you need a randomn prescription, very worrying when you need presciped medication on a daily basis.

Absolutely appalling!! After over 300 phone calls I still did not get an answer on the phone so I went in to check if my prescription was ready the lady on the desk had a very poor attitude snapping at me asking if I’d had a text to say it was ready before even looking I told her no as it’s not my usual pharmacy. She Then passed me a paper copy & told me they didn’t have it so to take it elsewhere. Worst pharmacy I’ve ever come across

Still waiting for prescription to be dispensed after 7 days for my elderly father who has now gone 4 days without meds. No one answers the phone. Called to store on a saturday at 12 however was closed when opening hours until 1pm until 1pm

They no longer answer the phone and they take too long to get prescriptions ready. I've asked my GP to print paper copies so that I can take my prescriptions elsewhere. Really disappointing as this chemist is really close to my house.

Always a quick turnaround, prescription always ready, good communication by text. Helpful staff. Always have my repeat prescription here without any issues.

Difficult to know where to start with this Chemist. It's badly stocked for essentials like paracetamol but they sell expensive brollies, they are in Ashton so I suppose that shows a little foresight but the staff are just so rude. Customer Service has supposedly moved on but it's definitely 1983 standard in here. We've just moved our regular prescriptions to another chemist, it's just not worth the aggravation. Went in today and was kept waiting for 5 minutes while 2 assistants put a personal transaction through the till. Neither even acknowledged me, unforgivable in this day and age. A definite avoid
