   This place is proper rank...! not to say expensive. Made the mistake of stopping by for coffee & cake and got well rinsed...! Coffee was lukewarm and cake tasted like it had been retrieved from the dustbin. Staff appeared apathetic and demotivated, though friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place. Instead, try one of the cafes in the market around the corner. They seem much more reasonable.

   I ordard smashed avacardo on toast with poached agg which the avacardo had so much lemon it was disgusting the egg was hard. I get 2 crumpets for my son which were rock hard and he wouldn't eat them. All in all wasted money

   Fabulous food. I tried ciabatta today which was filled with melt cheese and delicious mushroom. Banana milkshake was thinner than usual but I enjoyed it.

   We have been visiting Caffe Dolce for a number of years for drinks and cakes, however today we thought we would try their food. The pancake stack was the flattest stack I have ever seen and the quality of the pancakes could have been better for the price we paid. The chicken on the ciabatta tasted like cheap packet chicken. It was very disappointing. On a positive note the coffee was very good and the staff are very pleasant. Glad they never asked us how are food was. Needless to say we won't be ordering food there again. Will stick to drinks and cakes.

   The staff are lovely, so I cannot completely complain and my omelette was okay. However, paying 8 pound for a jacket potato coming hard is not good enough.
