Just awful. We ordered a cooker with installation. They came to install the first time, even though the measurements fit they said we need a different cooker that has detachable legs, they CONFIRM the rest of the setup is fine. Two weeks pass second order, the second installer comes, visibly doesn't want to do the job from the first moment he steps foot in the house. Tried to claim the oven can't be installed because there is wood in the kitchen, his colleague proceeds to tell him that is not the case. Then he makes up on the spot the gas connection is too far, his colleague tells him that can easily be fixed so he moves on to the next excuse in real time. He makes up the shape of the gas connection is not complaint and we can only have an oven with a gas connection on the left hand side of the device. Eventually his colleague gives up. Second installation cancelled. Now we're fighting to get a full refund. Ordered with a competitor , same oven same setup, installed without an issue.

AO five star treatment? Don’t think so. My first and last time using them. Fridge ordered with recycle option used for old fridge. Driver said no room for it on van despite it being morning. Will return tomorrow. Next day no message re pick up and I hear the driver reported the item as still connected and unable to take away. Lies! Absolutely shocking service.

Haven't had delivery ye but, did receive a call from them. Lad gave me a scripted speech at the end informing me when the direct debit would start rather than asking if I'm even interested in the plan. Be careful

⭐ 1 Star – Madness in the 21st Century – AO Let Me Down Completely I’ve always rated AO highly as a returning 5-star customer, but this experience has completely destroyed my trust in them. I ordered a fridge freezer and was given a delivery window of 7am–7pm, later narrowed down to 4–5pm. I waited in all day. At 3:29pm, the delivery arrived early – during the only 20 minutes I left to collect my daughter. My second daughter was in the front garden, explaining to the driver that I’d be back shortly. Despite this, by 3:36pm he had already left. I returned by 3:39pm and phoned immediately — but the driver, no more than 7 minutes away, refused to turn around. The woman I spoke to at AO customer service was understanding and sympathetic, but she was completely powerless to do anything. I was told the only option was to rebook delivery more than 48 hours later. In 2025, how can a national retailer not allow a driver to return to a house just around the corner? The consequences? I now have no fridge freezer – the old one was disconnected and moved to the front for AO's recycling service. I had a full food delivery arriving at 8pm with nowhere to store anything. My elderly grandparent, who lives with us, has to keep essential medication in the neighbour’s fridge. I have video evidence of the interaction with my daughter and clear timestamps that back all of this up. This isn’t just a delivery mishap – it’s a failure in basic human logic and flexibility. AO have the infrastructure, the van was right there, and I was home in minutes. But because of a rigid, outdated policy, they’ve created an unnecessary crisis for my family. Utter madness. AO – do better.

So we organised a fridge delivery SPECIFICALLY stating there was 30 stairs (three flights) The delivery men arrive, and then they say they couldn’t do stairs. We then spoke to customer service, who “rebooked the delivery” - HOWEVER without any guarantees that the next time they come, they can actually do the delivery How does that make any sense? Why send delivery men who can't deliver? And why not have protocols in place so you're not doing the same thing twice? Moreover, the delivery men and customer service agent asked us about 5 times about leaving the fridge just on the tiny first floor landing (thereby essentially blocking the stairs to two apartments for fire safety) When advised I was pregnant, and my husband could not do that alone; they repeatedly asked again and again if they could just leave it on the stairs - you’re expecting 8 month pregnant women to haul fridges up two flights of stairs when you’re healthy young delivery men cannot? This of course doesn't even count removing the old fridge Very terrible service Like, delivery men and customer service had zero sympathy, zero strategies to correct or assist They’re plan is literally just to let pregnant women do their job. Disgraceful

It’s fine, but I am fed up with them calling immediately after ordering online to “confirm order details” but to also drone on and on about insurance. They must be paid commission for pointless insurance products. Second time I ordered online, they called within 20 minutes, I just told them I don’t want insurance and they hung up. Guys, stop selling pointless insurance!

The worst delivery drivers on earth. The same drivers delivered to Brian Heasman 6 months ago. They dumped the massive Haier 519L Freezer outside the property and drove away. My colleague was asking them to take it inside but they laughed and drove away fast. I have called AO three times during the past 4 hours but they still can't sort it out. The drivers were not even very rude and also with extremely bad attitude. Unfortunately, there was even no time to take the photos from them. They ran away too fast. I have to use Brian Heasman's photo.
