Wandered in here with a mean thirst on me the other day. They boxed me right off and sent me rolling down Bennett’s hill on my way home with a smile on my face. Worth the headache would recommend.

Lovely homely pub, staff are so nice and helpful, and the food was excellent. I had fish, chips and peas, and my son my the vegan burger with fries. Both were delicious and went well with drinks. The atmosphere was good, we had a great experience. Thank you.

Disappointing, staff were very polite and helpful. Atmosphere was good, (Sunday Early afternoon). But we were not satisfied with the cleanliness of our plates when served with our food on them, to the point of having to ask for new plates as you could see they were dirty under the food, and they probably just moved the food onto a clean plate and we didn't wait another forty minutes for our food. Even the glasses where not cleaned properly (Dishwasher cleaned most likely, and not checked when being taken out) Perhaps this was a one off but either way it shouldn't of happened int he first place.

Went on Friday evening. I loved the atmosphere. I enjoyed the music, the company and their Irish coffee was delicious. I had a fabulous time!

Lovely traditional old pub, with oak beams and exposed stone walls. The place was busy when we visited and we managed to get a table. They serve food, which looked nice, but we never ordered as we were eating somewhere else . Lots of lagers on offer and just the 2 ales (Old Peculiar and Ice Breaker).

Went with the missus for lunch. First time I'd been here. We booked for 12. We arrived at 12 and were taken to a corner table for 2. I was very warm in the corner and asked to be moved to somewhere near a window or door for some fresh air. I was told there was nothing else available, even though the place had just opened and we were first in. The lady offered to put the extractor fan on above my head, which was noisy. Even though it did eventually cool the room down a bit. Food was very nice and had good portion sizes. Will go again if I'm in the area, but don't like being told where to sit, that was the only down side.
